My body was immediately hugged by someone taller and stronger than me, his scent slightly different but still the same. "Hi." Vance said, whispering in my ear. I hugged him back, hard. "Hi," I said.

"Hey, aren't you going to let her twin sister through?" I hear someone say. Vance let go of me and stepped back, allowing me a view of my twin sister, Holly.

She was beautiful, with her blonde hair down and wavy, wearing casual clothes, and her make up done way more perfectly than of the last time we saw each other.

"Holly..." I breathed. I walked to her, hugging her. "Oh my gosh..." I could hear her say. "I could feel tears threaten to blur my eyes but I kept it cool.

She pulled back. "I'm glad you're back, Vera." She said, smiling sadly. I smiled back at her. "Me, too." Her blue eyes were looking shiny from the tears she was struggling to keep in.

"Alright, ladies. This isn't the time and place for tears just yet. We can share that moment when we get back to the house." Vance said, walking up to us.

I looked at him, confused. "House?" I asked.

"--my house, he means. Ma and Pa are at my house waiting for you with your niece and nephew..." Holly said, wiping away a tear.

"What about Damien?" I asked.

"Alright, before you go off asking me for Damien, he's in school." She said, grabbing my arm and putting around hers. I obliged.

"Wait, niece and nephew?" I said, the realization dawning on me. My sister had children while I was away for all those years...

"Yes, their names are Matt and Laney, ten and seven." Holly said, looking at me.

"Matt and Laney?" I said, a bit confused. "Yes," Holly said, looking at me still. "That means...Oh My Gosh, Holly, whose the father?" I asked, overjoyed and holding her closer to me. Wow, my sister had kids!

"Er...um...well..." Holly started to say.

Vance stepped in on the situation, opening the door to the parking lot where already some of the cars were already leaving. "Vera, you're going to have to understand for yourself that Holly wasn't going to be an old maid, so she had found someone..."

"Wait, Vance. I want to ask Holly." I said, putting up a finger.

"So?" I said, looking at Holly. Her eyes looked down at the ground and looked up at me. "Brad Winnox, the guy from our school..." she answered.

"Brad?" I said, surprised. The math guy who was nice but talked often of math equations?

Holly and him hardly looked good together in my mind's eyes as I imagined them younger. It wasn't impossible but it was damn near improbable, they were from different sides of the school spectrum.

"Hey, look our ride is here!" Vance said, calling my attention from looking at Holly. Just off to the curb was our ride, a yellow taxi, it was waiting to take me home.
