I'm still driving on the road to Holly's place to find my brother Damien there. I am on the road, about to pull up to the driveway. I see Vance's car in the driveway--a black Suburu.
I pull up anyway. I go the front door, knocking on the door heavily, being only mildly surprised when Holly opens up the door.
"Vera," Holly says, glaring at me. I know she thinks it's my fault that Damien is hurt. I don't know, maybe so, either way I have to see.
"I want in." I order.
"Oh, no. You're not coming in." She says.
"Holly, please--'" I say.
She interrupts me. "--No way, youre coming in, its all your fault, Vera!"
"Its not my fault!" I yell.
"Oh yes it is," She retorted. "You know why? Because you had to leave all because you couldn't fit in, because you wanted to go back in time, because you can't adjust!"
At that, I could feel my eyes tear up. She had exactly what I felt the first month I have been here since I was abducted but she made it hurt more because she was blaming me.
I could see Holly about to close the door on me. I couldn't help myself but I pushed the door open. I know it sounds ridiculous but I did it.
That was when she pushed back harder, then I did the same. I shouldnt be doing this but I am. And for some strange reason, the reopening of my wounds (by my sister) fueled my strength and I manage to push the door full open.
My sister on the floor, a small 'o' on her lips, I came in the house without my sister's consent, then for some reason of me--I find pity in my heart for my sister. She is the one who has to deal with me and my return.
"Where is he?" I demand.
Holly does not answer to my question, a mixture of anger and shock on her face.
Holly just wants me out of the house. She doesnt have to say it but it is apparent on her face. When Holly isnt trying to mask her emotions, there are pure moments of emotions.
Just as I am about to consider apologizing to my sister about coming in without her consent and leaving the house, the phone on the hallway rings.

Hearing the shrilling noise of the phone in the hallway doesn't scare me or cause me to go running to it, but when my sister is struggling to get up, it does.
Racing Holly to the phone, I am about halfway to the phone when Holly picks up my feet and causes me to fall on my stomach, knocking the wind out of me.
When I get breath back in my body, I get on my hands and knees, quickly crawling to Holly, managing to stop her when I jump up to her, grabbing her arm and making her fall.
I picked up the phone as it was on its last ring and said "Hello?" into the receiver. I find out it is my dad on the other line.
"Vera?" He says, questioning why I was at Holly's house.
"I'm here," I say. I consider lying about Holly letting me in but I decide its better not to. I don't want to stress Pa out more anymore than he should be.
"Where is Damien?" I asked.
"In Seattle General hospital, please bring your sister over too as well. Your mom knew something was going to happen between you two so she had me call. You two should talk it out on the drive over." He said, then he hung up.
