*Two Month Time Jump*
Vera's POV
All was right with the world. And if you don't believe me, I'll explain it to you. It'll be long of course but it will be worth it.
After all, isn't it worth it knowing there is happiness at the end of the tunnel?
I'd say so.
To start off, I would go with the little ones, Matt and Laney. They are fine and healthy. They alternate weekends with Holly and Vance a lot. I would visit them a lot on the weekends.
Vance and Holly had gone through the trial and they are getting a divorce in the next four months but for now they are separated.
While Holly has moved to Florida and has started dating someone, Vance has opted to stay in Seattle and has not. He has taken to his work and vice versa with Holly. While they are not together, they actually has started finding their own way in life.
Holly has started going to a therapist to talk about her problems regarding me and on her own she and I wrote letters to each other each week. It isn't much but soon it will soon be enough for me. I had already forgiven her and she me. We talk as much as we can and it works.
Now onto my family; Ma and Pa. Ma and PA have moved into better situations. They moved down town and are a frequently pair in my life.
They are also never without my brother Damien. Damien has moved out of their house and has got himself a girlfriend, named Delia, who is ironically five years older than him like in his best-selling novel, With You Or Without You.
And now regarding the villains in my life; Helene and Zara. Helene and Zara were sent to two separate female prisons and are currently awaiting their trials.
Tom Baldwin (whom I finally had the pleasure of meeting), the partner of Diana Skouris, had met me with Skouris to ask questions and I answered most of them.
They asked me to be a star witness for Helene and Zara's trial. I agreed to it immediately. They needed a swift kick in the butt by Justice.
And to finish my explanation of what's happened in the last two months, I would have to tell you that I still live with Adam in the gated community, still practice my invisibility powers, and that I am on my first date with him.
And with Adam now getting our drinks ordered by the throaty voice waitress (I met while speaking to Pa about Damien), I looked out the window and saw the sun set.
It seemed that as sure as the sun setting, the sudden truth of being one of the 4400 and being a person who is no longer a pawn in some scary scheme dawned on me greater than before, it was a part of me as I was a part of it and nothing was going to change it.
At least in the now I can relax and finally be a part of this era after having my troubles solved with, after coming back from a ball of light, after everything.
"You okay, darling?" Adam asked me.
I smiled at him.
"Everything is fine, babe." I answered.
And it was God's honest truth.
