*A Half Hour into Capture*
"It's time for us to have a talk about your sister, Damien." Aaron Warren said, not bothering to tell him which sister because he knew he would say "Holly?"
"What about Holly, Dad?" Damien asked, perplexed.
"I don't mean Holly, son..." Aaron said quietly.
"Huh?" Damien said, even more confused than before.
"I have something to tell you, well, we have something to tell you, Damien..." Lindy said.
"What is it?" Damien said cautiously.
Aaron and Lindy gave each other dubious looks before continuing.
"Vera Warren is your older sister, she is the same age as Holly is. Vera is Holly's twin sister. She is not Holly's assistant as you would think she is." Lindy admitted out loud in the cold sterile hospital room.
Everything seemed to freeze in time for Damien. What? How could his parents not tell him this? Why didn't they? Did Holly know the whole time?
"Did you know?" He asked Holly.
Holly froze in the middle of her sulking. She nodded quickly. "Yeah, I did." She admitted.
"How could you? How could any of you deny your own child? Your own twin sister? How dare you?" Damien said, feeling all sorts of negative emotions for his elder sister.
"W-We had to, Damien, we couldn't tell you until the timing was right..." Lindy said, feeling the repressed emotions of sadness come out of her eyes and unto her cheeks.
"Until the timing was right?!" Damien yelled out loud.
"Hush, son." Aaron warned.
"No, you don't deserve to tell me, "hush" Dad. The timing could have been right when I was six or eight. When I was a young boy." Damien fired off. "But no, you chose to tell me now, you guys have done something so unfixable that not even I would think Vera would forgive even if the Apocalypse was upon us!"
Damien took a deep breath, taking his time while putting his hand up to his forehead
"You need to rest, Damien. You're still recovering." Aaron said.
"Damn my recovering at the moment!" Damien fired off.
Lindy, Aaron, and Holly stared at him in silence. Right now, to them, it felt like they were children and he was their parent. He was certainly scolding them like one.
"I'm disappointed in all of you. You let my sister back home after all of these years and lie to her saying that she is an assistant to you," He said, pointing to Holly.
"You let her come home to a home that would not make room for her and barely speak to her after all of these months," he continued, pointing to Aaron.
You allow her to come to a home that you refuse to be a mother to her after all of this because you chose to focus on Holly and I, as if she was a stranger!" He finished, pointing to Lindy.
At that, all three adults felt the guilt from all of those years of hiding the fact that Vera was still part of the family inside their hearts falling out. But the one who truly had a mental breakdown at not doing their job as a family member was Aaron.
He had made a promise to Lindy when they got married to treat all of their children fairly and he knew he had not done the promise justice at all during these past months.
At turn of her wild sobbing, Holly soon began to laugh hysterically to herself, to which Damien had caught on.
"What is wrong?" He asked her.
She continued laughing hysterically.
"What's wrong?" Damien asked again.
Holly paid no mind to her younger brother.
"Tell me!" Damien ordered from his hospital bed.
Holly continued laughing until her laughter died down to giggling, to which she managed to say "I don't want to forgive!"
Damien inhaled sharply. The mood of the room was quickly becoming serious. He had a feeling that his father and mother had caught on as well because they soon stopped grasping at each other and were wiping their tears away as they looked at Holly.
"What?" Aaron said.
"You heard me." Holly replied.
"No, we did not." Lindy said.
"I. Don't. Want. To. Forgive. Her." Holly said once again, loud and clear.
"It is time for you to forgive her, Holly. You have to understand, she never did anything wrong to you, honey." Aaron said to his daughter.
"I wish I can but I can't..." Holly admitted out loud to her family, wiping her tears.
"Why not?" Her mother, Lindy, asked softly.
"Because...Because..." She said, stammering. "B-because she had everything I wanted back then... Sure, I was popular, good grades, not bad with the guys... But looking at her from such a high angle, I realized she had everything: a good boyfriend, a good relationship with mom, and..."
"And?" Damien urged quietly. He had a feeling something was going to happen in the hospital room. Something that was never going to be unsaid. Something bad.
Holly looked up from covering her red face, presumably wiping her tears, her eyes reddened but her blue eyes fierce.
"And...I don't want to forgive her if I have all that she ever wanted, because I am a jealous person who does not want to share my husband, my children, my parents." She said honestly.
Aaron, Lindy, and Damien gasped at what she said.
