CHAPTER TWELVE — heroes

TALIA WONDERED HOW THEY HAD BEEN TRICKED TOO EASILY. Talia and the twins found themselves wandering the streets of Seoul. They knew the Avengers had shown up. The twins looked at Talia as she stopped for a second trying to find Ultron, when she looked up at the two, "He's on a train with Captain America," she said. They all nodded as Pietro grabbed ahold of them and ran to find the train. Once on it, they saw Ultron fighting Captain America. Pietro ran into Ultron, getting him away from the Avenger. Talia stood in front of Steve with her powers emerging from her hands. Ultron tried to go for Pietro but Wanda cut him off with her powers, Ultron turned around and looked at Talia, "Please. Don't do this" he pleased with the girl. Talia shook her head, "You didn't give us much of a choice," she said. The train was not stopping anytime soon. Talia and the twins watched as Ultron kicked open a door to the train and flew out. Steve got up and ran past Talia, "I lost him! He's headed your way!" He shouted.
Steve came back to the three, he watched as the three comforted each other and made sure each of them was alright, "Civilians in our path" Steve said. Pietro nodded and sped off taking the people off of the streets. Steve turned his head to look at the girls, "Can you two stop this thing?" He asked. Talia looked at Wanda then back at Steve and nodded. Steve ran off to the front of the train, leaving Talia and Wanda. Wanda looked at Talia, "We can do this," she said. Talia nodded, "Together" she said as they both looked at the ground and used their powers to stop the train. Talia grabbed Wanda's hand and led her off of the train to find Pietro. They went over to Pietro who was out of breath, "I'm fine. I just need to take a minute" he said. Talia looked up and saw Steve coming towards them, "I'm very tempted not to give you one," he said while looking at Pietro. Talia turned toward Steve, "The Cradle, did you get it?" She asked. Steve looked at her form, "Stark will take care of it," he said. Wanda came up behind Talia and put her hand at the small of her back, "No, he won't," Wanda said shaking her head. Steve focused his attention on Wanda and hesitated, "You don't know what you're talking about, Stark's not crazy," he said. Talia could hear Wanda's voice starting to shake, so she grabbed her hand, "He will do anything to make things right," she said. Talia felt Wanda calming down because she was with her. Steve looked away from the girls and turned around, "Stark, come in. Stark. Anyone on comms?" He asked. Wanda looked down remembering her past, Talia turned to her and put her hands on Wanda's arms, and started to rub them in order to comfort her. Wanda turned her head towards Steve, "Ultron can't tell the difference between saving the world and destroying it. Where do you think he gets that?" She asked.
Steve took the three to the Avengers tower. Steve walked into the lab as they followed behind him. Talia recalled back to when she was still in her home in Queens surrounded by posters and merchandise of the Avengers, back then she would've never thought she would be walking around in the Avengers Tower, but now she had a different outlook of them, "I'm gonna say this once," Steve said angrily. Tony looked up at him, "How about "nonce"?" He said. Talia scoffed at his arrogance. Steve took a step forward, "Shut it down!" He shouted. The twins took a step forward and Talia followed. Tony turned around, "Nope, not gonna happen," he said. Steve shook his head, "You don't know what you're doing," he said. Bruce looked at Steve, "And you do?" He asked. He shifted his gaze to the two girls in the room, "They're not in your head?" He asked.
