CHAPTER EIGHT — lines have been drawn

PETER AND TALIA ran up to Natasha and Tony, "Is this, part of the plan?" Natasha asked while Tony pulled her up from the ground. Talia shook her head, "We're not really putting a dent in them," she said. Tony looked between the three, "Well, I wanted to go easy on them. You wanna switch it up?" He asked. Peter nodded as he stood beside Talia, "Preferably," he said. Tony flew off with Natasha. Talia looked to the side and saw Steve's team trying to run to the jet. Vision used a stream of energy from the mind stone and sliced across the runway which made them all stop, "Captain Rogers. I know you believe what you're doing is right. But for the collective good you must surrender now" he said hovering down the ground. Tony landed with Natasha. Rhodey showed up and so did T'Challa. Talia and Peter walked around and joined the group. She stood next to her mother while Peter stood on the opposite side of Talia. Talia's eyes scanned the opposing team and her eyes locked with Wanda's. They both could see the pain and regret in each other's eyes, they didn't want to fight each other. Sam looked over at Steve, "What do we do, Cap?" He asked. Steve looked between Talia and Tony, "We fight," he said as he started to walk toward Tony's team. Natasha shook her head, "This is gonna end well," she said. The two teams marched toward each other with grim determination etched on their faces. Peter looked at Tony, "They're not stopping," he said. Tony really didn't want to do this, "Neither are we," he said. Both teams started running towards each other. By the time the two teams had reached each other, Wanda and Talia had flown up into the air and had thrown power blasts at each other, even though they didn't want to. Tony threw a punch at Steve but Steve blocked it. Natasha fought Scott, T'challa found his way over to Bucky, Rhodey fought Sam, and who knows why Clint was trying to fight Vision with arrows. Wanda tried to throw a blast at Peter but Talia blocked it and threw a blast at Wanda, which sent her tumbling onto the concrete.

TO TALIA, it was like time stood still. She believed that the Avengers would be on one side forever. She thought there would never be something that tore them apart this badly. Secrets were being kept, and sides were being taken. Where people's loyalties lie were being seen for the first time and it shocked her. She wondered where they would be after, would Steve, Wanda, and Sam be behind bars? While she, Tony, Vision, and Natasha walked free? It didn't seem fair to her. Steve and everyone who stood behind him hadn't done anything wrong. Was Steve in the wrong for wanting to stick together and make their own choices? Or was Tony in the wrong for feeling it was his fault for all the damage they caused to save the world?
