Luca's POV
A sense of nervousness surrounded the room. I could feel the heaviness in the air. The continuous visions that Damian had wasn't helping either. We knew the danger was coming and it's coming fast.

"Just press the button here and we can locate you right away," Evander King explained as he fiddled with the device between his fingers. "At the side of the ring, there's a microphone. It will also be activated the moment you press the emergency button."

"Pretty neat," Damien mumbled while he examined his own gold ring carefully. It was really just a basic band ring that married couple usually wear.

"Thank you for your help, Mr.  King," my other beloved said.

"It's no problem, Princess. I'm happy to help," Evander replied with a resigned tone.

Valeria already told Damian and I that Evander had some bad memories on the place in Damian's vision. I could not help myself for wanting to know the reason behind it. It was a shame that Evander had a strong mind barrier. If I tried to push into his mind, he would've felt it. So I decided to play it safe. I couldn't afford losing an ally in times like these.

To my delight, Valeria was taking over the conversation with Evander, while Damian kept closing his eyes as his eyes move side to side behind the lids — a sign that he was having a vision. I kept my silent as I tried to rethink every strategies that could help us in any way.

After another twenty minutes, people started coming to join our meeting. Some looked bored, some looked anxious, and some looked stressed. Lord, I really wanted to throttle the bored ones. Maybe put some blade through their stomachs, they would heal anyway. Thankfully, my father interrupted my murderous thoughts by immediately began the meeting when we all seated. I could only hope that we managed to design a safe plan for this, so no one would die. Because I had a feeling that Damian's vision wasn't good at all.

Valeria's POV
Was it just me or this meeting had become really stressful? People kept screaming and threw nasty looks at each other. This wasn't a very productive meeting. I really should say something.

Unfortunately for me, every time I tried to open my mouth, someone kept interrupting me. Luca was getting angry and Damian was mostly silent. I was sure if I was still a human, I would be sweating with the amount tension that surrounding the room. The idea of forcing them to be calmed seemed like a good idea, but I knew there'd be a possibility of them getting hurt in the process. However, as the time ticked by, I couldn't stand it anymore.

Huffing a little, I pushed my mind to calm all of them. Nothing happened immediately, but they were gradually become more calm. The ones who were in screaming match slowly seated on their chairs and became quiet. I exhaled a relief breath that apparently too loud because everyone was looking at me.

I glanced at Luca, who was fighting a smile. Damian chuckled quietly as well as Luca's brothers. Choosing to ignore the stares, I sipped my already cold latte.

"What's just happen?" Mr. Lange asked the question, looking confused.

When I didn't answer, Adam chose to answer it for me, "Well, my sister in law seems to think that our meeting isn't productive with all the screaming and decided to calm you down. It seems to work wonderfully."

"I can not disagree with that," Ms. Barta muttered under her breath while reaching for her own drink.

I nodded my head as a sign of agreement. Damian grabbed my hand under the table and squeeze it gently. Glancing at him, I felt my heart squeezed at the tired smile he gave to me. Damian should be having the time of his life. He would be graduated soon. Instead, he was here thinking how to prevent the a bad guy from taking over the world.
