Luca's POV
A week had past since Damian got the vision that shaken him to the core. I couldn't get a glimpse of his vision. He was completely master to build a shield for his mind.

To be completely honest, I was proud of him. It was hard to build a shield that strong, even a vampire as old as me couldn't manage to penetrate it.

Last night, Adam had told me that he got an information that Graves was sighted in Kansas City. He didn't try to capture her. We all knew it was going to fail. She was too strong and cunning to be faced alone.

I was going to call a summit meeting, but the requirement was I had to come to Rome. There was no way I was going to Rome. It was just too risky.

Instead, I told my father. He would call a summit meeting to discuss about Graves. Even if the case was considered a personal issue, anything that related to Graves screamed trouble. There was no way the council and the Royals were going to ignore it.

With the information that Adam gave me, I had two options. The first, was waiting for the council to decide how to handle the matter in hand. The second, was asking my allies that owed me in the past to give some men power.

Before I could finish my thoughts, my phone rang. I frowned, slightly surprised by the name that appeared on the screen. Sighing, I picked up the call.

"HOW DARE YOU?! How could you not tell me about Graves?!" I winced at the female voice, "Are you stupid or are you stupid? Of course, you are stupid!"

"I was busy—"

"Busy?! This is important! How could you not have five minutes of your day to tell me?!"

"I know. I apologized."

"Oh no. You don't get to apologize to me until I know she is fine," the woman said sternly to me.

Knowing I wouldn't hear the end of it, I materialized to our room, finding that Valeria was sketching on the sofa while Luca was reading on the bed. They both looked at me when I appeared in the room.

I walked to Valeria and handed her my phone before kissing her cheek. "Someone wants to talk to you."

Valeria blinked at me and placed her pencil in the middle of the book. Then she took my phone and asked softly, "Hello?"

"Valeria! Oh, thank Goddess. Tell me that you're okay and please, by the Goddess, is the boy still alive?"

Valeria's eyes widen and glanced at me in surprise. I was not going to involve with the women's talk.

Therefore, I simply gave her my overly sweet smile and turned my body to walk towards the bed, where my other beloved was waiting.

Damian raised an eyebrow at me and waiting for an explanation. But, I wasn't in the mood of talking.

I took the book from his hand, place it on the nightstand, and pulled his body closer to me. Damian immediately wrapped his arm around my body, making me sigh in contentment.

People these day called it cuddles, and I loved doing it. Only with my beloveds, of course. Cuddling with my beloveds brought me a sense of happiness.

"Calm down, Alexandra. We are doing fine. Damian is a bit worried. The vision is getting more prominent."

Damian's eyes lit up when he heard Alexandra's name. I knew that he had questions for her about magic that he was too afraid to ask over the phone.

"Do you need me to come over there?" Alexandra's voice filled the room as Valeria put her on speaker so Damian could also hear her.

"No need to do that," Valeria reassured her friend, "But, if it's not too much trouble, I'm hoping you can find something about Graves."
