Valeria's POV
I woke up with an amazing feeling. Warm body pressed beneath me and I could feel the sparks everywhere. Wait... warm body? My eyes flew open in realization.

"Our beloved finally wake up" Luca's voice startled me. I looked up and found out that I was lying on top of Damian. Damian gave me a warm smile as he rubbed my back with one of his hands. It felt so nice. However, this position made me really shy because me and Damian had not been in that stage yet. If I was a human, I was sure I would be blushing so hard right now.

"What happened?" I asked, looking back between Luca and Damian. Luca brought his hand to cup my face. I frowned as I sensed the guilt from Luca.

"I'm sorry, my love," he murmured. I was confused. I couldn't figure out why Luca was apologizing. "What for?" I asked him.

"I should've known that you're already feeling exhausted. I was so absorbed to find out everything," Luca replied. Oh, no. I didn't like it when Luca got all sad. I looked at Damian as I sucked to make Luca to not feel guilty. Luca always felt responsible for everything, especially about me.

I guessed Damian knew it, because he said to me "I've already told him to not feel guilty and he was doing a great job to take care of everything."

I nodded because that was exactly what I thought. So why did he still feel guilty? I had no idea. Luca, you know I won't be upset. It's just who I am," I whined.

"I know. But still, I should've taken care of you first," Luca grumbled. Ugh, he really frustrated me when he got like this.

"You were ─ are taking care of me. I'm fine and I will be fine," I said as I reached out to squeeze his hand. I continued in a whispered voice, "You can't protect me from anything. You know this. All you can do is doing your best to protect me and if something isn't right, it's never going to be your fault."

As Luca heard my words, I noticed his body froze and he clenched his jaw. I knew he didn't like that I said those words. But he had to realize that he couldn't blame himself about everything that happened, because it was never his fault.

I looked back at Damian, who noticed the tense aura in the room. His blue eyes questioned my words. I wanted Damian to have alone time with Luca. In the last few days, Luca was busy looking for information as I helped Damian learn about our world.

So I figured it was the best time for Luca and Damian to spend some time together. I leaned into Damian and kissed his cheek for the first time. Luca had always been bold, so it was no surprise that my tempo was very slow in comparison to Luca. And I thought Damian didn't mind at all.

I heard Damian's breath hitch. I smiled as I leaned back. Damian's eyes made it clear he was surprised. But I also could sense the joy and contentment when I kissed him. I told Damian "Please, help me make some sense to Luca. I'm going to leave you guys alone."

After Damian gave me a slow nod, I looked back at Luca, who was staring at me before I materialized to the kitchen to feed.

Damian's POV
Valeria fucking kissed me! Oh shit, how wonderful is that. I had been waiting for these last few days because I didn't know if she was ready or not. I was aware that Valeria and Luca had only been together for centuries. Luca was bold, I knew this. But I also knew I had to wait for Valeria to make a move, either way she would have freaked out.

Luca was huffing beside me on the bed, it was only three in the morning. He grumbled under his breath, "Did she just leave us alone like that?"

"What? You don't want to be with me right now?" I teased him with a chuckle. I knew my words would make him react. And I was fucking right as he sat up instantly on the bed and looked at me with panic expression.
