Dragon Ball Xenoverse: Evolution and The Chrono Squad

Part 3/Chapter 5: Return of the Assassin

         While the other groups had split off to the different Time Rifts, Deikon, Kamikaziko, Q-Ra and Comet were making their way to the Rocky mountains to find out why so many Time Patrollers have gone missing. Deikon, Q-Ra and Kamikaziko searched within the middle part of the area while Comet took a few laps around the border of the area. All of them were trying to see if there were still any energy signatures around. They began to search the area for a while, until they ended up finding someone. Everyone gathered at the spot, and ended up finding someone, but there was something wrong. It was a Patroller, that looked like he was in a recent fight. He was just crawling to the group, in the worst condition. Then someone jumped on top of the Patroller's body, and stabbed him in the back. Just as the killer lifted up his head, it was a person, making their suddent return. It was Neron, the assassin from Deikon's past, the person who killed his students, and his parents. It had been years since the two had seen each other, and Neron hadn't changed a bit. Neron had worn the same outfit from years ago when he and Deikon were face to face. Neron said that it has been a very long time, too long. Deikon didn't mind fighting him, but he had the Chrono Squad by his side to help him out. That wasn't gonna stop Neron from the duel that he wanted for so long. Neron gathered ki in his hand, and dashed up to Comet and slashed his leg, then dashed back. Neron told Deikon, that if anyone triesto intervene, he'll make sure they end up the same way as the other Patrollers he killed. Neron clearly wasn't playing around, and Deikon had no choice.

           And so, the two swordsmen took their stances. Neron moved his hand, and made his sword appear from thin air, while Deikon unsheathed his sword from behind him. The deul began with Neron charging up his sword, and sent ki slashes towards Deikon. Deikon quickly deflected them so none of the slashes would hit. Deikon, while clashing against Neron's sword attacks had thought of a way to counter Neron. So, Deikon had to power up his attacks to be on par with Neron. With Neron quickly dashing towards him, Deikon used a few punches into a kick that sent Neron into the air. And then, Deikon powered up his sword and sent ki slashes that managed to hit Neron. This gave Neron smile, he was getting excited that Deikon was able to catch up to Neron in such a short amount of time.. The battle truly got intense as both of their blades were clashing with such force, as one slice could be a deadly one. Neron was going to make sure that he would get revenge on Deikon for giving him the scar on his face. And to do that, Neron tried to aim for Deikon's heart, but Deikon blocked his hit just in time. Deikon wasn't going to die today, and he wasn't going to let Neron take the life of anyone else ever again. Deikon then pushed Neron away, and jumped up into the air. Deikon used all of his energy into a final attack. Deikon made his blade shine with a bright light. Neron tried to attack Deikon while he was preparing, but it was too late. Deikon disappeared, and reappeared in front of Neron, catching him by surprise. Then, Deikon sliced Neron right through his body. Neron fell to the ground, no longer breathing, no sword in hand and no pupils, he was dead. Deikon went to Comet to see how his leg was doing. He then heard a noise and turned around, and saw that Neron's body wasn't there anymore. It was strange, but as long as he doesn't come back, then things might go just fine for the Chrono Squad.
