I walked into the store, the cold air conditioning giving me goosebumps from the sudden change in temperature.
I browsed through the aisles, grabbing any necessities and anything sweet. Hopefully that would keep the Lawlipop satisfied for at least a week.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw something. It was perfect for L. I snatched it from the shelf and tossed it in the cart.
"Perfect!" I said aloud to nobody in particular.
It was a large panda plush. It was about as big as a 5 year old kid. Perfect for my sweet panda boi. I felt a smile tug on the corners of my mouth at the thought of him.
Paying for all that sugar and sweet food was a nightmare. I paid $126 for all of it. Hopefully it lasted a while.
~at the apartment~
"I'm home!" I called out to L. He still sat there at the table in front of the computer.
"Welcome home Y/N." He sighed.
"You sound upset. Did something happen?" I asked.
"No, Yume. It's simply that I've made no progress on this case."
"Poor Lawlipop. I'll help you on it as soon as I put the groceries away."I brought the bags into the kitchen, putting everything away and brought out the panda plush.
"Hey Lawliet? I got you something," I said softly.
"Other than sweets? What is it Y/N?" He turned to me.I turned away to hide my pink face.
"Here, it reminded me of you."
"Why did a panda remind you of me?" He asked as he took the plush into his arms.
"Um well... you look like a panda," I murmured.
"I do not look like a panda."I looked up as he held the plush next to his face. He looked at me with wide eyes.
"See? We are very different."
You couldn't help but laugh at his comment, because he did in fact, look like a panda. You walked up to him and ruffled his hair, "Silly panda man."
He looked up at me from his chair. He pouted in false disappointment. Then the pout morphed into a sweet smile."Oh yeah, I was supposed to help you on this case." I dragged my chair next to him and sat down in front of the computer.
"So what's happening so far?" I asked.
"This is a missing person case. Probably one of the most difficult ones I've had in a while."I looked at the file.
Kumo Miko
Female
Age 17
Last known location: Cat Cafe in Tokyo, Japan 3 days ago
Runaway, possibly due to parental issues. Left home 1 week ago. A note was found under the mattress of her bed, and her phone was found at a cat cafe in Tokyo.
The note read:
Dear mom and dad,
I am leaving for a while. I might not come back. Don't worry about me, I'll see you again someday.
~KumoThe phone was open and displayed a message that read:
You came close, but not quick enough! You won't find me <3 |•Kumo•|No additional information was found.
That's... depressing. She ran away from home, and might never return. I thought for a moment.
"Tokyo is a really big city, she couldn't have gone far in three days. What if we searched as much of Tokyo as possible? We'd be bound to find her again eventually," I said.
"That might work. I'll send out as many agents as we can manage." L typed something into the computer.
(I haven't planned out this story but I know the end of this case is going to be very sad and maybe a lil angsty sooo get ready for that)
