~Your POV~ (My cat is helping me write this chapter so my apologies for any typos)

I watched the officers grab and cuff Joseph. I wasn't entirely sure how international cases were handled, but I assumed they were going to fly him back to America and keep him jailed there. Lawliet and I stood and left the room.

"So, what now?" I asked him.

"I  think we might need to take a business vacation." He smiled at me, and suddenly my heart fluttered in a way it hadn't since starting the case, "We're going to fly to America,  Yume."

I pumped my fist in victory, and took Lawliet's hand, "Alright, let's make vacation plans then Lawlipop!" I hadn't used that nickname in a few weeks now, but I was so excited to be able to see Misa again and to know that she would be okay.

(hehe i found it) ~A week later, Your POV~

Next I knew, I was in an international airport terminal, getting ready to board a plane to America to get my best friend back. I held Lawliet's hand, and we stepped into our first class flight. The only reason we didn't take the private jet is because Watari was a bit sick at the time, and decided he would help us from overseas instead.

(Clarifying now that Watari will NOT die from this illness i just wanted an excuse for them to deal with actual people that are not case related for once.)

After the pilot made his departure announcements, the flight attendants came through and made sure everyone was okay so that the pilot could take off. As soon as we took off and gained speed and height, my jaw and ears popped, and I got the most crushing headache. (This is why I hate planes, i deal with headaches enough and im also mildly afraid of heights T-T)

I groaned, and pressed my fingers to my temples. I felt Lawliet press a hand to my back.

"Are you alright Yume?" He asked.

I nodded. "Mhm, just a headache."

A flight attendant walked down the aisle, asking every patron what they wanted to drink.

"A Cola for me, and a water for my partner here," L said, and I nodded my agreement, but groaned again as the quick movement pulsed in my skull.

The flight attendant nodded, wrote it down on her notepad, and then continued her rounds.

A few minutes later, I was handed a cold bottled water, and  immediately chugged it. It helped a little, but I assumed most of my headache was due to the sudden pressure change of takeoff. It evened out, but still it hurt to move too fast. Instead of deciding to deal with the pain and wait it out, I pulled down the plastic tray and tried to take a nap.

It helped a lot, but I couldn't manage to sleep the whole way through, and kept waking up every few hours.
