~Your POV~

Our waltz in the kitchen felt like a dream, and also like some kind of deja vu. Somehow, this felt like my past, and my future.

In that moment, I knew what I wanted for Lawliet and I.

I told the children my plan, and they all agreed to help me. I smiled, and for the next few months, the kids helped me plan, and I did some shopping.

~A few weeks later, L's POV~

Y/N has been acting strange lately. Secretive, but excited. Like he knew some gossip that he couldn't tell but was nearly exploding with the drama of it. The kids were much the same.

I felt like they were giving me hints of some kind, but I wasn't sure what they were for exactly. Ellie had been showing me more of their 'vision boards' full of white dresses and suits, and asked me which one I liked best.

Charlie showed me some of his new architectural designs for romantic arches, asking which ones seemed like the best fit for a wedding.

Quinn gained a new hobby in floral arrangements, and Leah worked hard on perfecting her newest cake recipe and insisted I taste every single reiteration (I was glad to do so, even if it wasn't obvious).

~1 month later, Your POV~

All our preparations were made, and now it was time for the final step. The proposal.

I brought the white boards to 4 of the children who were to help me in this proposal. Rey, Preston, Benjamin, and Taylor.

Each of them held up a board, and I arranged them so that they were in the correct order. The boards read Will you marry me?

The other four children went to go get Lawliet's attention, by saying that there was something in the living room they wanted him to see.

He came into the room, and gasped. He walked forward another few steps and looked at the ring I held up to him.

"L Lawliet, will you marry me?" I asked him, tears welling in both our eyes.

"Y/N, you make me the happiest man alive, of course I'll marry you." He fell to his knees and gathered me up into his arms, giving me the biggest hug he'd ever given me.

The kids all cheered, throwing up whatever they were holding and letting it hit the floor as they all joined in our hug. Soon, the whole house was all together in one big hug.

The world had a dreamlike quality, and I was afraid I was going to wake up from this oddly realistic dream, but I didn't. I didn't, and it felt so good to know this was not a dream, but it was reality.
