~L's POV~

I had never seen any of these kids before, but knowing there was to be a new generation of superhuman-esque detectives and leaders out there brought a smile to my face.

As Yume met with each of them, I stood behind them and analyzed their individual personalities. Each of them were unique and different.

Most of them tended to entertain themselves with small toys or unique puzzles, and all of them were constantly learning. As was I. I was learning how to take care of children, how to cheer them up when they cried, how to make sure they each got enough healthy foods, and how to teach them.

While Y/N dealt with much of the childcare and I was sentenced to housework, I still tried my best to help whenever I had time.

I watched Charlie run to Y/N and fling himself into his open arms. I watched the child be comforted while I continued to sweep the dining room floor.

"Charlie, what's wrong?" Yume asked.

"Rey doesn't want to play trains with me!" Charlie cried out.

"Why doesn't Rey want to play with you?"

Charlie hiccupped a sob, "He said I was too loud to play with! Am I too loud Y/N?"

"What? No! You're perfect Charlie, Rey is just a very quiet person and doesn't like to play the way you do. Maybe Ben will play trains with you, go ask him, and I will make sure that Rey apologizes for being rude, okay?"

He wiped the tears from his cheeks, "Okay! Thanks Y/N!"

Yume smiled and stood up to walk towards Rey, who was engrossed in a book.

I went back to my chores with a smile on my face. I knew that he was truly the love of my life. He was just perfect.

~Your POV~

I could feel Lawliet's eyes on me, and I smiled to myself.

After making Rey apologize, Ellie wanted me to play paper dolls with them.

I told them to ask Taylor if she wanted to play paper dolls instead, as I was going to talk with Lawliet for a while. I patted them on the head and walked to where Lawliet was standing in the kitchen holding a broom in his hands.

He clearly didn't notice I was there, so I came up behind him and hugged him around the waist.

"Hi Lawlipop," I said.

"Yume! You frightened me, sorry." He turned around to return my hug, and I felt his facial muscles tighten as he smiled into my hair.

I stole the broom from his hands and put it back into its place by the fridge, then took Lawliet's hands in a waltzing position. He looked at me confused, but then smiled as I began to waltz him through the kitchen like a ballroom dance.

I ignored the sound of little footsteps pattering around the corner, then leaving and returning with a few more following behind it. I smiled and gave my Lawliet a kiss.

Some of the younger children made gagging sounds, and the others clapped and cheered.

"It's a bit rude to stare you know," Lawliet said.

Leah clapped a hand over her mouth, "Sorry Lawliet, I just couldn't help it when I heard Y/N humming from the kitchen," she giggled.

"It's alright Leah," I said.

"You two are a cute couple," she laughed and ran away, back to the living room.

Somehow, this made me very flushed and happy.

"You know, I think she's right, Yume. We are a good -no- great couple."

I flushed even harder, then gave him another kiss, "Source?" I asked, then laughed and kissed him again.
