Louisa's POV

Unfortunately we were late for class, since we haven't heard the school bell. They don't use clock in Elemental Galaxy Here they depend on the color of the sky, that I'm not use to. Back on Earth in every corner of the world, people use numbers to tell whether it's time to eat, sleep, or work. Here I can't understand what's with the color of the clouds that it is their cue to do work.

We halt at the threshold of the fiery room, "I'm sorry we're late, we lost track of time." I pause since all eyes are trained on me. "I'm sorry I forgot time doesn't work here." I state the obvious.

The deep smog covering the room slowly vanish. "It is okay. Sit down." A familiar voice says I look at the person in front of the class. "Let's continue, I sent your professors on a very important meeting, like what I said I'll take over this class."

"Is he strict?" I heard inside the head of a student. "Please say no, please say no." he continues to chant while crossing his fingers.

I smiled. "What's funny?" Dad turns his attention to me. "Is there something funny?" he asks with authority.

"N-Nothing, professor." I snap. "Nothing's funny." Was he just pretending to be mad though? Looking at his face yes his playing with me.

He sits at the edge of the teacher's table and place a hand under his chin, "Hmm... Professor." He says. "I like that. Good, now let's proceed." He settles himself on the chair. "Now any insights about fire?" he looks at me.

I raised my hand. "Yes!" he says pointing at me.

"Fire is essential. It is used for cooking, lighting and-"

"Nice, anyone else?" he says without letting me finish my sentence. "No one?" He pauses and everyone's trying to look away from him since there's an intense look in his electric blue eyes.

Kennedy raises her hand. "Yes, Ms. Moore?"

Kennedy awkwardly stands from her desk, "Fire was present long time ago. It was used by people to protect themselves, from possible predators and it was also used for hunting at night, until now we still use fire in daily basis."

"Good!" Dad enthuse. She got a good and I got a nice hmp... He must have read my mind for he glares at me before composing himself, "Those who could produce fire, please stand up." He orders. "Create one huge fire, together at the center of the room." He adds. Silently all of the supernatural that has the ability to control fire created a circle. "Louisa, step aside." He drags me out of the circle.

I did as I'm told. This is no longer a game, he is in a bad mood. I went up the platform with the other students. "You okay, Dad?"

"Yes, I am." he answers without looking at me, his obviously hiding something. "Now, produce the biggest fire you could," he instructs. "Don't worry this room is fire proof, so I assure you we wouldn't get fried."

The fire bearers including Fred start to produce the huge fire I've ever seen. Slowly Kennedy back off, I don't know the whole story, just that her family died because of a house fire.

"Nobody move from your position stay put." Dad orders, immediately Kennedy stopped moving and she froze really froze.

I slowly move a little closer to her, "Relax," I say trying comfort her. "You won't be hurt, promise."
