Louisa 8: The Revelation

Louisa's POV

          Dad's attention is still on the papers that was given to him by his blonde secretary earlier. I'm intrigue so I went closer to his table. He seem to be signing the papers. He's almost done when I stand beside him, he looks up to me and hands me an envelope when he notices me.

         "Special delivery," He grins.

        "What's this?" I ask with a quizzical look while looking at the envelope he gave me. It is sealed with the emblem of the school. A cup with a very familiar cursive, '𝓡' on it.

        "Open it." He urges as he leaned back on his chair. I opened it and it says that I am invited to study at the Elemental Academy.

       "So?" He asks beaming at me. Expecting something.

       "So?" I copy him. "Dad, I knew about this. This is old news." I sit down on the chair in front of his golden table.

       "You're the only one who's not excited about receiving a letter from this school." There's a disappointment in his voice.

       "Sorry to disappoint," I stand from my chair feeling a little mad, how can he expect me to happy about the very thing I dreaded the most for so long? It wasn't my idea to move here! I thought. When I finally found my voice I looked him in his angry eyes and said, "Yes! I'm not excited, besides, I don't feel its importance." I storm out of his office and I just keep walking.

        I found myself at an open ground. Where some boys are playing lacrosse while others are watching from the bleachers, then I saw a trio walking at the side of open ground. Obviously, they don't care about the game. They're talking and laughing hard about something. I walk towards them and the laughter vanishes as they look at me.

       "Sorry to interrupt, but can you lead me to the office of Emerson Ravensdale?" I ask the trio. "I'm a bit lost." The Asian guy John would be satisfied to hear that I'm lost again.

        The sassy one, raises an eyebrow before saying, "Sure, why not?" She turns her back from me. They then totally ignored me and went back to their talking like they have their own world, walking farther away. Then I saw a woman wearing a ragged dress with a girl wearing a designers dress I think she's about my age I stalked towards their direction.

       "Excuse me ma'am?" I approach the woman who looked at me with her blue eyes.

      "Yes?" The woman says. "What can I do for you, dear." She gave a crinkled smile.

      "Can you lead me to the office of Emerson Ravensdale?" For the second time I use Dad's name I just knew he manages the school but I don't know his position principal maybe?

       "Actually, your in luck. We're on our way there." She says with a smile. "Why don't you come with us?" She offers with. Thank God! Someone knows good manners in here.

       "Thanks." I beam at her. "Hi." I wave to the girl beside her.

      "This is my daughter Kennedy," The woman gesture towards Kennedy, "and I'm Lisa... Lisa Moore."

      "Pleasure to meet you Mrs. Moore and Kennedy, I'm Louisa" I extended my hand for a shake.

     "There you are, I've been looking all over for you." Dad sounds worried. I look back and his walking down the hallway with a guard behind him. Well, looking at them going towards me is just scary. It's like I've done something wrong and they're about to pick me up and throw me into prison.
