Louisa's POV
-----------------------
One night I was looking out the window. Enjoying the nice view of the beach, there's lights on every tree that forms into different shapes, and there's small fishing boats on the middle of the ocean. Cold breeze of fresh air swiftly pass through the window, then from a distance I saw a woman, wearing denim shorts and tank top with a glowing white skin. Going into the deepest part of the ocean, like someone's chanting and compelling her into it. She was calmly walking like there's no rush, seems like she has all the time in the world. Then she goes deeper and deeper, then swallowed by the darkness. Where did she go? Did she drown?
"Mom, Is that you? Help! Where did you go?" I shout at the darkness. "Mom! Help me! Somebody help!" I cried running towards the ocean to save my mother, but no one heard me, when I look back she's no longer there, "Gosh! Where did she go?" I panicked. Why would she go there? Alone in the night.
Then I hear a familiar voice behind me. "Don't worry sweetie, I'm not hurt." Her sea green eyes looking straight into mine. "Don't worry I'm okay." She gave me her assuring smile and pulled me in for a hug.
"H-How, I-I saw you," I stutter hugging her tight. "I thought you were drowning. H-how could?" I ask still dazed by the thought that minutes ago she drowned— she did not, but then she's here not even wet? I looked into her face, her eyes now worried.
"It's getting cold, let's go inside." She hug me once more. "Don't mind it baby, the important thing is that I'm fine now, okay?" Mom added. I nod and grin at her to hide my confusion. 'What was that?' I frown at the thought. Is that even normal?
We are walking on a stone pathway toward the mansion. It is a two-story Mediterranean house in the middle of the private white sand beach. It has high roofs that slope making a wide over hang that provides shades for a warm weather. Courtyards and open arches that allow breezes of fresh air to flow freely into the house and verandas.
Dad bought this place before I was born, they told me that this would be a nice environment for me to leave in, rather than our old town. I don't know why, but I love this place. I cannot imagine living somewhere else. It's the most wonderful house I've ever seen in the entire universe. Its walls are painted like the color of the sunset and its roof has the color of the daylight clouds. It looks like a playroom or a doll house to me. Almost heavenly sometimes, I read books at the gazebo or sometimes at the hammock. I like the fresh air coming from the ocean it just makes me feel relax and I forget all the hassles in life that is suffocating me.
"Now it's getting late, come I'll tuck you to bed". Mom said still wearing her smile but still whenever I look at her, I could see the image of a woman walking in the depth of the ocean. Was that lady really my mom? I have very vivid imaginations sometimes. But it seems so real.
We went upstairs into my room, actually, I call it, "the princess room" , I like to pretend I am one. I know, very girlish and everything but who cares I love it. Inside I have pink fluffy sheets with laces on the edge, lace purple curtains, and my wall is painted with a color combination of pink, white and purple.
