Kennedy's POV

After seeing the smoke around the area. By the time that we had arrived, a painful flashback hit me. Once again, I saw my entire family burning before my eyes. I could hear their painful screams. Their plea for help. In just one moment, I lost them. My home, my happiness, my love ones gone. Worst of all, it happened on the supposed special day of my life— my birthday, now it serves as a mark of my grief. I look up the sky, dark blue which means it's already dusk.

We kept on scanning the perimeter, together with my fellow supernatural friends and one of the werewolves— Clyde. The whole night we were together he has been relentless, maybe because he was with us. Or maybe because Jasmine was there, standing at the corner while looking at the distance. The two had a fight yesterday before we were supposed leave for Elemental Galaxy. Or is there something else?

"Can you feel the tension 'round here?" Louisa whispered that took me by surprise.

"I am not alone then," I reply with a smile. "I wonder what's wrong." I catch a quick glance at the boys and they were seriously looking at us— Louisa and I who's not gonna share any insights with them.

"Since I'm bored as you are, let's investigate," She winked at me and gave me a wicked smile. "Let's sit here." She announces to the others. "Let's take a break for a while."

While the other groups are scattered around the forest, securing the area that was assigned to them. Louisa and I have our own agenda to deal with. She allowed us to take a rest, but truth is she was up to something.

"'H-how come? How can he block me off his mind?' I'm reading Jasmine's thought." Louisa whispers audibly. Is that even legal? I thought. "I don't know." She shrugs, answering my thought. "And I don't even care."

"Don't read my thought." I warned.

"'And now he's someone else, far from the Clyde that I used to know, how come he changed that much?'" Louisa continues eavesdropping.

"You okay there?" Fred asks that interrupted Louisa's reading— or shall I say invading. "Cause, you know, you seem- ah well, forget it." He wave it off.

"There's nothing to worry about." Louisa swears. "Why don't we just rest for now."

"It's just like-"

"You seemed suspicious." Jack supplied Fred directly referring at us. "What are you doing?"

"Oh, really, we're suspicious, huh?" I raise a brow. "We are just staring at something over there," I pointed at nothing in particular. "Nothing is suspicious about that."

"Like what I said forget it." Fred waves a dismissive hand.

"Hey Clyde," Jack called.

"Yeah?" He turns to face the boys, but suddenly he become epileptic or something. Moment later all the veins in his body become superficial, like his entire circulatory system's about to erupt. Then there's a look in his eyes that says 'danger' suddenly, hairs all over him sprung free, his nails elongated. Something in his now pure black eyes says he's not in control of his own body. He howls. I covered my ears to block the sound.

I stood there frozen unable to move a single muscle. What are you doing?! I scold myself. Run! You should run. No matter how much I convince myself of the danger in front of me, no use. I'm still in shock. Or I'm just afraid to make a move. I tried to move but my muscles won't permit my action. He's looking at us, bidding his time, waiting to attack.
