Louisa's POV

------------------------------------

I'm playing games on my iPhone, so I could spare myself from thinking. I didn't realize that we already arrived at Long Beach High School. I can't really absorb everything I learned about my family today. I feel nauseous and a little scared, what if they discover that I'm different and they neglect me. What if they find out who I really am will they burn me alive like the ones in the movies or- or. Stop over-thinking! I scold myself.

"You okay, baby?" Dad asks with furrow brows.

"I think so." I can see the concern on his eyes, I shrug. "I'm running late. I have to go inside Dad." I hurried out of the car which I never did before, I just need to be alone and think about everything.

"Oh, okay, I'll pick you up later." He said. I wave him goodbye then he drives to the exit gate.

As I walk inside the school corridor. Carrying the thought that my whole life is a lie. They said I was born in Texas and we moved in California a month after I was born, because of Dad's work it was a lie. All this time I thought I am a normal girl living a normal life but no, because, I'm the supernatural daughter of my supernatural parents and not the normal Louisa Ravensdale that my parents brought me up.

I wish they had just told me who I am. Now, I am comfortable of my life— this life. Maybe it won't be hard for me to accept everything right now. They really waited to be caught in the act before revealing the truth. What if I didn't saw mom last night? Will they ever tell me about the truth? Or they'll just let me grow up without knowing a thing?

Growing up, I thought that all the things I could do was normally done by the people around me. Like reading people's mind. I don't really know how I could do that I just sometimes do. Sometimes, when I concentrate too much I could make the waters move. It's really cool and fun but I can't do it all the time. Playing with fire without getting burned. Or this one time I produce it myself, I was angry back then. When the wind was strong when I was so sad about my turtle's passing, I thought it was just the storm, or was it? Once, I summoned lightning struck the ground when I was very mad. But now I knew it's just one of my awesome powers as a supernatural.

"Wait!" I must have blurted too loud to catch the attention of some people on the hall. "How could I do all of that?" I murmur to myself. "Oh... I forgot, my Dad said he could also do all that. He claims to be one of the most powerful supernatural in the universe or galaxy just like my diseased grandfather, while my mom can control the waters, because her parents could do it."

My ancestors are cool. My whole life is a lie, a big fat lie. I reminded myself.

As I continue my way pass by the school's busy hall way. I imagine Earth as the Elemental Galaxy, well maybe they do look the same, so it should also have cars, buildings, airplanes, and birds in the sky flying under the warm heat of the sun, while children are playing at the playground some are chasing after one another laughing, and everybody has supernatural powers and we all use it, we all belong here.

Chloe run into me and before I slip, I use the air to control my fall. "Watch where you're going." I told at her as she helps me up.

"Sorry, I'm just in a hurry, catch ya later." And she runs off.

"Hey! Where are you going?" I shout as I fly after her, smooth breeze of the cool air touched my face, as beautiful view of Long Beach treats my eyes.

Chloe who I'm following looks towards me and give me a foolish smile, then she runs even faster like the speed of light. "It's a surprise! You're not allowed to come with- me." She shouts from below as she run, but she's nowhere to be found now.

I stopped to look around the surrounding. I spotted a group of children that are making the water dance like a Jell-O, while some kids are playing with fire. What kind of play ground is this?  I leap towards a boy who was hit by a small fire ball from his playmate.

"I'm okay." He said. "Thanks anyway." He turned his back from me and started to throw his own fire balls hitting the dancing water.

"Be careful, though," I told him. "Fire is not to be played with."

As I look up the sky I saw people that are wearing suits bringing a case but they're not a superhero, they are people that have air as their power so they fly to work, fun right? Then a guy out of thin air just appeared in front of me, no one blasted me with fire to evaporate but I melted on the sight of his beautiful green eyes, his curly hair and sun tanned skin. Oh, why won't he stop smiling? He's so cute wearing the shirt I gave him, tight faded jeans and sneakers.

"Surprise!" He smiled deepening his dimples, he pocketed his hands.

"Hey, you're frozen!" Chloe tapped my back.

"Where were you?" I eyed Jared.

"It's supposed to be a surprise." Chloe complained. "Off you go."

"I'm surprised, all right!" I told Chloe. "What is it you two are up to anyway?"

I turn my attention back to Jared, "Where were you?" I look into his eyes. "and what is this surprise?"

"Catch me, then I'll tell you!" He challenged then he runs pass me, then Chloe run and I have chase after them.

The whole place was magical under the heat of sunshine. We chased after each other the whole afternoon. The three of us couldn't stop laughing. Why was I with him? Since when did started talking to each other?

The bell for first period rung.

"Louisa!" A voice drew me back to reality. "There you are." The lady that is going my way called, she wears glasses, black slacks and a formal light blue top with an afro black hair, black skin complexion and a light make up and she is holding a piece of paper as she came closer, she holds up the paper so I could see it, and there is no trace of a smile in her face. "Louisa, this is the form you need to fill up to join the spelling bee competition next week." She said with a stern voice.

"Thank you, Mrs. Jones." I give her a weak smile as I took the paper from her wrinkled hands.

"Are you okay, sweetie? You look pale." Mrs. Jones asks, besides my mom she's the only one that calls me 'sweetie'.

"Yes," I cleared my throat. "I'm fine Mrs. Jones... Uhm excuse me I need to go to class." I replied then entered my classroom.
