Louisa's POV
As we enter the gates of the mansion, the first thing that I notice is the long driveway lined up with plum trees at each side, tall stone towers are looming in the distance, we past by a courtyard with a normal sized version of the fountain I saw at the center of Elemental Galaxy earlier, there is a long swimming pool near the courtyard. The brick mansion ahead of us is painted white, some features of the house's exterior have some similarity with our house back in California. There's a massive blooming garden in front, a balcony that has a tea table and at the side a white hammock in between of the tall sturdy tree. The first thing you'll notice when you look at the house from a far is the blue carpeted steps before the archway leading to a closed large wooden double door.
Dad produced something from his pocket it's a small device with one button at the center. Immediately after he clicked the device, an old man emerges from the door he is wearing a white long sleeves with a dark blue vest and a black bow tie, dark blue slacks and black leather shoes. He bows at our sight of us. Seriously, is this some kind of protocol around here?
"Mr. Poole," Dad greeted the old man. "How's everything around here?"
"Everything's fine since you left, sire." Mr. Poole replied slightly bowing.
We step onto the marble stone, inside the house first thing you would see is the staircase going up to the second floor, there's an archways leading to different rooms. We pass through an archway, using my peripheral vision I saw more of Dad's antique collection, he have antiques in our house back in California, I guess this is the whole of his collection. Dad said those are heirlooms passed down from generation to the next and soon it will be my turn to take care of these antiques.
Knowing that Dad and Mom left the place a long time ago. The house is obviously well taken care of. The floor are freshly polished and the furniture are modern but the interior design of the house is, well- it's old.
We stopped in front of the staircase, were a line up of household staff are stood. "Here's my daughter Louisa." He places his hand on my shoulder while introducing me to them. Mr. Poole and the rest of the household bows at me, a flicker of smile on the old butler's lips.
"Welcome miss Ravensdale." Said Mr. Poole.
"Please take our luggage upstairs." Dad ordered.
"Of course, sire." Mr Poole bowed his neck again. "Julius! Cristoph!," He called, two men emerges from the line up of staff, dressed the same way as Mr. Poole.
They then bowed the moment they stand before us, "Sir," They acknowledge Dad in synchrony as they avert their eyes, "Ma'am," they did the same to Mom and then me, "Miss."
"Please take their luggage upstairs." Mr. Poole orders the men. "Back to work!" he said while clapping his hand, he then cleared his throat and face my father, "Sir? Is their anything else?" He asks.
"That'll be all." He said with a dismissive gesture, "thank you." Mr. Poole left with a bow. Dad then turn to look at my Mom. "Savanna, honey, maybe you should show our daughter her room." He said. "I'll just be in my office." He then went upstairs towards an old door.
"Come, let's get you settled." Mom and I went upstairs, "The room over there is ours." Mom pointed at my left at the corner there's only one room with a massive with double door line with gold. "Here is your room, honey." Mom opens the second room from my right. "Come, I hope you'll like it."
I poke my head in, "It's a carbon copy of my room, Mom." I frown suddenly feeling sad. Now, I'm home sick.
"You didn't like it?" A hint of worry on her voice. Mom kneels down and looks at me directly in the eyes. "You can always do some changes if you want." She said while brushing my hair with her hand. "I thought you'd--"
