Event #8: The Future

This is the second request from Djheat100.

ing up in the future, interacting with the characters of APHO.

Quick notice, I actually have not played APHO yet so this will be less about the story and more so about the character interaction.

With that out of the way, I hope y'all enjoy.

"So, what's this?" Asked Alex as he held a large, strange looking headset with a visor on it.

"It's a time traveling device!" Said Kiana excitedly.

This naturally left Alex extremely skeptical as it took a while for him to form a response.

"Um, repeat that again?" He asked.

"Okay well technically it isn't a normal time traveling device. Basically, when I had to study for a history test a few years back, Bronya placed this on me and when she activated it, it had sent me to a simulated version of the past! It was so cool to see what the world was like back then and it helped me ace that history test!" Replied the girl.

"Okay so, you want me to use it so I can see the past?" Asked Alex.

"Nope even better! I want you to use it to see the future!"

Alex once again was left speechless as he wasn't even sure if this thing was capable of seeing the future.

"Kiana. This ain't an ACTUAL time traveling device. It only shows a data version of a specific point in history. Not sure if you knows this, but the future is the future. Ain't no way this thing is gonna have data on stuff that hasn't even happened yet." Logically said Alex.

"If that were the case then why does the toggle have the + option on it?" Asked Kiana.

Alex then looked at the toggle on the helmet and sure enough it did indeed have the + options, meaning it was possible to see the future, though above the + options came a warning about traveling into the future could be dangerous since obviously no one knew what would even be seen.

"Kiana you sure about this?" Asked Alex.

Kiana nodded excitedly as Alex sighed, before placing the headset on, visor going over his eyes as he laid down on the bed.

Kiana plugged it into the outlet as Alex took a deep breathe, mentally preparing himself for whatever he was about to see.

"Oh right. To get it to work you gotta close your eyes and say Link Start. Afterwards your body will essentially fall asleep though your brain will act as if you're awake in the future. That's what I understand from Bronya at least. I didn't really get the full details." Casually said Kiana.

"Wow am I sure glad to be doing this." Sarcastically said Alex.

He then closed his eyes, and said the words.

"Link Start."

The sounds of birds chirping and trees brushing through the wind were the first things to greet Alex as he slowly opened his eyes, vision getting adjusted to his current surroundings as he slowly sat up and saw that he has awoken in a forest.
