Having a hand on the window, staring out into space and at the amazing sight that was Earth, Kiana had a longing gaze before walking away.
Though her base on the moon was really cozy and comfortable, a small part of her missed being back down with her friends.
Today was the 7th of December, Kiana's Birthday.
The girl has received many calls from people like Mei, Bronya, Theresa, Fu Hua, Durandal, and Siegfried amongst many others.
Though Kiana enjoyed the birthday wishes and was eagerly excited for the summer pool party they were gonna have at her base, there was still something that was missing.
That being the fact that after all these months had passed after living on the mood, Kiana had yet to talk to Alex once.
The last time she saw or had a conversation with him was the day she left for the moon.
Whenever Kiana would receive calls from Earth, she'd constantly ask about Alex and how he was doing.
Unfortunately she was disheartened when Mei and Bronya would tell her that Alex took a train himself as he opted to go on a journey around the world, saying that he wanted to broaden his scope and do his part in keeping the planet safe from the Honkai.
Though everyone would assure Kiana that Alex was more than likely okay, the girl still felt upset over their lack of communication.
Even day after having all the birthday wishes, Kiana still wanted to hear it from Alex as well.
Regardless, she knew that today was definitely not the day to mope around about it as her party was gonna be amazing.
She began to drool at the thought of tasting her birthday cake that was sure to be divine since it was being baked by Mei.
Her fantasy dream was cut short though as she heard a sudden knock at the door to her room.
"Hm? Wonder who that could be?"
Kiana would head to the door and look out the peephole as she'd see a large present box just there standing in front of her door.
The girl was immensely confused about this as she opened the door and peeked around the hallway to see no one.
After dragging it into her living room and closing the door behind her, she began to speculate.
"I didn't think I'd be getting gifts hours in advance. Who could this be from? Only two people that I can think of are my dad and Mei. Hmm. Nah no way it can be pops." Said Kiana as she had an excited gasp. "That means it must be Mei!"
She looked around the gift for a tag and she'd find one, though it didn't have a name on it but rather an instruction.
"Hmm? Turn around for ten seconds. Weird...." She said though since she saw no harm in it, she decided to do it.
Kiana would step back a bit and would turn around as she began to count.
As she began, she heard the gift open from behind as the top of the box fell onto the ground.
Once Kiana had hit ten, she turned around and what she saw shocked her.
She was in complete stunned silence as standing in front of her within was none other than Alex as he stretched a bit.
"God it was cramped in there. Should've told Mei and Bronya to get me a taller box." Said the boy with a slight groan before stepping out of the box and onto the floor as he now face Kiana who was still quiet.
The boy noticed this and had a small chuckle.
"What's up snowflake? Cat got ya tongue?" He said in a teasing tone along with a smirk.
It took a moment for Kiana to react as her shocked face began to slowly turn into one of anger as tears began to build in her ears as she balled her hands into fists.
Alex saw this and immediately regretted his choice of words as he began to apologize.
"C-Crap um I'm sorry! I-I didn't mean to!" Shouted the boy as he saw Kiana pull her arm back, closing his eyes and bracing for a swift punch as a result.
Instead, Kiana ran up to and instantly wrapped him into a tight hug.
"H-Huh?" Said the boy in shock as he opened his eyes and saw the girl hugging her.
He'd gain a small smile on his face as her hugged her back, hearing Kiana faintly sobbing and crying.
"I-I've.....................missed you, s-so much." She said between sobs as Alex closed his eyes and nodded, gently embracing her.
"Yeah I know. It's my fault. I'm sorry." He responded.
"D-Don't ghost me ever again okay? Or else I'll head down there and kick your ass got it?"
"Yeah yeah I know. I promise I'll keep in touch this time."
"G-Good."
Kiana would cease to sob and wipe away the remaining tears she had as she ended the hug, though the two wouldn't break contact as they held each other's hands.
Alex would look at her once more, uttering the words that Kiana had longed for since that morning.
