Event #35: A Teaser

The usual sounds of a Cafe in the afternoon were apparent as currently Alex was seated, partaking in lunch for today and particularly early for him as earlier that day, he had been offered a rather lucrative merc request.

Though the initial offer didn't really spill any details, the contact had told Alex that they'd explain once it was time to meet up.

Though cautious about it, the large sum of money was ultimately too much to pass up on as he'd accept the offer and now was waiting for the client to inform him on when to meet up so he could get the details.

Seeing as the wait time was unknown, he figured he'd eat lunch earlier as to make sure nothing held him up.

Currently he had actually already finished his food and scrolled through social media on his phone to see what was going on at the moment while waiting for the server to come over hand him the tab.

While scrolling, he'd receive a notification from the group chat he had been added to by Bronya which included herself, Mei, and Kiana as the chat read as followed.

Kiana: Guys, big news!

Bronya: ?

Mei: What is it, Kiana?

Kiana: A super popular celeb is gonna come to perform a concert nearby at Soukai City this weekend! We have to go!

Bronya: Since when was Kiana Idiotka into concerts?

Alex: Honestly yeah. You definitely don't seem like someone who's into concerts.

Kiana: Well there's many things about me that you two bozos don't know about!

Mei: I believe I know who Kiana may be referring too. They've been trending a ton lately and their popularity is immense.

Kiana: The music that's made is amazing! I'm gonna get all of us tickets! Trust me, you all will love it!

Alex:  Count me out.

Mei: Hm?

Kiana: WHAT!?

Bronya: Why's Subject Alex unable to go?

Alex: Well for starters, I'm don't particularly care for celebrities and what not. I just seem them all as the same arrogant, snoby, rich people who think they're hot stuff. That and I'm gonna be busy over the weekend so I wouldn't have the time even if I wanted to go.

Kiana: HOW DARE YOU COMPARE THEM TO OTHER CELEBRITIES!

Thankfully for Alex, at that moment he had gotten a message from his client which allowed him to leave his current conversation.

Alex: Gotta go guys. Hope you all enjoy the concert if y'all do indeed end up going.

With that, Alex would exit the group chat before Kiana would respond as he entered the DM with his client.

Anonymous: Are you available to talk, Mr. Mustang?

Alex: Yes sir, I am.
