          KASABAY NG PAG-UPO ko sa gitna nila Kuya York at Kendall ang pagdating ng pagkain. Yale and Yaser cheered as the servers placed the food on the table. Abala na rin ako sa paglalagay ng napkin sa hita ko ng maramdaman kong humilig si Kendall palapit sa akin.

"I thought you were just going to the restroom but why did you came back wearing Cross' medal?" Kendall suspiciously asked as she reached for Cross' medal.

My eyes widened as my cheeks unconsciously blushed when she examined Cross' medal and my face. "Ahm, ah. That's nothing, Dall." Pagkapa ko sa mga salitang isasagot sa kanya.

Hindi ko alam pero mas lalo akong na councious sa pag-angat ng labi at kilay niya na para bang may tinatago ako sa kanya. Pero wala naman talaga akong tinatago! This feels awkward all of a sudden.

"Now I know why York is so suspicious about your friendship with Cross." Kendall smirked, teasingly.

I just looked at her flatly to shake off the heat of my cheeks. "Nahahawa lang kayo kay Yaser kaya ganun." I shook my head.

"Hoy, bakit naririnig ko na naman pangalan ko?" Sabat ni Yaser na punong puno pa ng pasta ang bibig.

"Grif, don't talk when your mouth is full." Tita Kali, his mom reminded him.

Yaser just pouted and continued eating. I glanced at Kendall when I heard her chuckle. She caught my eyes and smiled at me, mouthing the words 'bagay kayo'.

Muli na lang akong napailing sa kanya at sinimulan na lang kainin ang in order kong lasagna. Parang dati lang ayaw niyang magkagusto ako kay Cross pero ngayon inaasar na ko kay Cross. Minsan hindi ko na rin maintindihan si Kendall.

We continued to eat peacefully. Halatang gutom na kami. Medyo matagal din kasi ang graduation ceremony nila Kuya kanina. Marami kasing students sa DVU. Tsaka mahaba rin talaga 'yong speech ni Yusef kanina. Dapat talaga iniklian ko 'yon nung pina-proofread niya sa akin.

"Oh, by the way kids. I have an announcement to make." Tito Yael said after we ate.

We focused our eyes on him and listened carefully to what he'll say.

He looked at us one by one before giving us a wide grin. "We'll be spending your summer vacation at Catanduanes!"

My eyes widened in excitement as Kendall hugged me shrieking in sheer happiness. My guy cousins also cheered aside from Kuya York and Yusef who just smiled. Lumapit na rin sa amin sila Kait, Keira at Kayleigh para sumali sa yakapan.

I saw how happy our parents are watching how excited we are to spend our summer break at Catanduanes. Who wouldn't? We could just run from our grandparents' house to go swim at the beach. We can also go hiking with our other cousins there. It sounds like a paradise. And we love it so much!

          "I HAVE PLANS pa naman na for our hangouts!" Maggie whined at my bed as I opened my suitcase to pack some clothes.

Nagpahatid siya dito pagkatapos ng dinner nila for Jace's graduation. Buti na nga lang at pumunta sila dito sa bahay because I have a graduation gift for him as well. Na inggit nga rin si Maggie at gusto ring magpagawa katulad ni Yeshua.

"Two months will pass by that you wouldn't even notice it, Maggie. Tsaka magdadala naman ako ng pasalubong." Pagpapalubag ko ng loob niya.

Nakasimangot siyang tumaob paharap sa akin habang nakapatong ang baba sa kamay niyang nakatukod sa kama. "What if I make sama? That sounds like a great idea!" Bigla itong ngumiti ng nakakaloko.
