the trio arrived to the shopping mall a little past 10am.

it was crowded, but not swamped, allowing sandy and the kids to walk around in just baseball caps and sunglasses.

hats and glasses for the twins were the first purchases of the day.

dani had formulated a system, because dani always had to have a plan for everything.
it was a quality she took after her mother, although sandy had become significantly more relaxed in recent years.

they started with hats and glasses, dani picking out a plain navy blue hat, and dylan a navy blue hat with the new york yankees symbol, for reasons unknown to dani and sandy because he didn't follow baseball.

both twins chose aviator style sunglasses, which they were both ecstatic about, because "top gun" was one of their favorite movies and one of the few max had owned at his apartment .

after that, dani insisted on doing clothes first.

they went into macys for the underwear pajama and sock basics, then pacsun, vans, and nike for their everyday clothes.

they bought primarily shorts and athletic shirts shirts from nike, pants and tshirts from pacsun, and some jackets, hoodies, backpacks, and shoes from vans.

they also each got a pair of doc martin boots in addition to their nike sneakers and new everyday vans.

next sandy took them to some higher end clothing stores, as she knew sooner or later they would be going out to nice dinners or brunches with her friends, or a wrap party for a movie.

they each picked out a pearl necklace, plus some assorted rings and earrings and other accessories in a jewlery store.

dylan picked out just as much jewlery as dani, as he also had his ears pierced, and he loved to accessorize.

they also each picked out a nice perfume, dani got a gucci perfume while dylan opted for one from cates brand, which prompted sandy to take a picture of him next to her display and send it to her.

then they moved to the higher end clothing, dani picked out two nice dresses, a beautiful sundress and then a longer cocktail dress, and a gorgeous suit.

dylan picked out two more traditional mens suits, plus a sort of androgynous suit that consisted of a slip-like dress with a jacket over it.

sandy herself ended up getting a dress from that store, a long dark green silk dress.

next they went for nice shoes, dani got a pair of wedge heels and some nice leather shoes, and dylan got open toed nice sandals and leather shoes.

as they walked out of that store, dylan questioned why they needed so many fancy outfits.

"because one day," sandy responded, "i want to have a dinner to introduce you to some of my friends and family. and at the end of oceans 8, there's going to be a wrap party!"

dani shuddered at the idea of a whole party just to introduce them to the people in sandy's life.

but she supposed sandy couldn't hide them forever, i mean jen already barged into the house after just one day, who knows who else could pop up out of the blue! sandy was a very famous person after all, and even more than that she was a very sweet and caring person who dani had no doubt had many friends.
