Mirror Kingdom- That day is Near

-Morning, love!- Ruby jumped on top of the bed, waking Devina up.

-Why...- Devina whined.

-It is the morning, besides, Rose came to me and said that Demos and Nathan would like to have breakfast together with us.

-Yeah, you can go, i won't be going,- Devina whispered,- i want to sleep.

-No, let's go! Chop chop!

Ruby grabbed her blanket and pulled it off.

-What if i slept naked?

-So? It's not like you have something i've never seen,- Ruby giggled,- now, come on, get ready in five. I will come back.

-Fine,- Devina opened her eyes, and saw Ruby leaving. This was another day in this kingdom, where in a matter of weeks, she would be married.

She stretched her legs and other parts of her body, and while doing that, she made funny noises.

-Good to see you up,- a smooth voice said and Devina screamed, grabbing her blanket and covering herself up with it.- oh, sorry.

-Don't you know how to knock? Jesus!

-Im sorry, Devina, i just wanted to see you,- Nathan tried to explain.

-Ruby already was here and told me about the breakfast.

-Oh, that's nice, but i wanted to have a little talk before that.

-What about?

Nathan walked closer and sat on the bed.

-Well, i wanted to ask, if you would like to marry me in three month time.

-Three months?- Devina was shocked, yes, she knew it will happen fast, but c'mon, not that fast, right?

-I may seem crazy...

-Tell me about it...

-But, i wish to be married to you faster, and of course if you wish, we could have talks and dinner together just so we would know each other a little bit more.

-I'd like that,- she finally managed to close her jaw, and say something sort of polite.

-I'll let you get ready,- Nathan stood up and went to the door,- by the way, you look cute in the mornings.

„Cute in the mornings," Devina repeated in her mind.

-Yeah, right, i probably look like i've just came out of the woods.

She didn't bother to look in the mirror, she washed her face with the water, that was left on the mirror table, cleaned it with a wash cloth and only then checked herself in the mirror.

-Now that's scary,- she laughed at herself and made her hair in a ponytail.

After she walked to the closet and looked for something nice to wear. To her surprise there was actually something, that she would find comfortable.

Simple floral dress, just above her knee, and flat shoes. At least now she looked like herself.

She met Ruby in the hallway.

-I wanted to make sure you're ready.

-I am, let's go.

-Where exactly are we having the breakfast?

-Demos said to meet him at the garden.

-So you and Demos....- Devina smiled.

-No, not excactly,- Ruby explained,- we are really good friends.

-Friends...

-Why do you repeat my words?

-Im just curious, i mean, you two would look really good together.

-You think so?

-Yes, i do.

-Uhm, thanks.

They saw Demos waiting for them, and as they walked closer, they understood that the breakfast will be served outside.

It was sunny and warm, birds were chirping and it felt like the nature was coming alive.

-Good morning, ladies,- Demos greeted.

-Morning.

-Let's go,- soon after they reached the table and sat down.

The smell of fresh pastries filled the air, and made Devinas stomach grumble. She was delighted to have something to eat, after yesterdays drinking night.

-Has Nathan told you anything about the wedding plans?- Demos looked at Devina.

-He would like for us to be married in less than three month time.

-That's good then,- he smiled, but it didn't look like a real smile.

-Is something bothering you,- asked Ruby.

-No, im fine, i have a lot of stuff to deal with,- Demos said, and after a short while, he was the only person not saying a word.

„Something isn't right," Ruby thought.

Demos excused himself and went to the throne room. He sat on his throne thinking, why has the mirror chosen two, if only one of them is to marry his son.

The mirror, that was in the farest corner showed a sign, and Demos stood up, walking towards it.
