Mirror Kingdom "Chapter 29"

-Now, you will tell me, what i saw, was just imagination of my mind...- Demos was damn serious about his words, and both Nathan and Cassey blushed.

At the same time, Devina sneaked back to the throne room, but the guards were surrounding the door as usual, and she thought of a possible way to listen to their talking.

She took a corner on the left to a smaller door, that lead to the staircase to kitchen, but the wall seemed to be a little thinner than before.

Devina heard Demos voice loud and clear and she shivered.

Demos was certainly angry.

His voice was so loud, Devina was sure, that he wasn't talking in his usual voice tone, he was shouting.

-Father... we...- she heard Nathan trying to say something.

-No, you listen,- Demos continued,- it is forbidden to sleep with a girl before wedding! I've said it like.... million times, and still...

Demos growled, at least Devina thought he did, the sound reminded her of some mad animal from the woods.

-Dad, we didn't... we didn't have sex,- Nathan explained.

-So what did you do then?- all of the sudden, Demos stopped talking, as he understood what the two lovebirds had done. He was speechless.

Cassey blushed even more than she did before.

-We...- Nathan talked again, making Devina lean closer to the wall,- we won't do that ever again...

-You can do what you want, after you are married,- Demos talked.- but now, what do I do...?

Demos thought for a while, still looking at his son and soon wife to be, he laughed a little, before speaking up again.

-I could be evil and provide you with some chastity belts...- Nathan and Cassey both had their jaws drop.

Devina laughed. Oh, how she laughed. Until she heard footsteps becoming louder. The guards were approaching her.

-Miss Devina, come with us.

-Me? Uhm, why?- she asked, still trying to control her laughter.

-Master Demos demands your presence.

Devina followed the guards into the throne room, when she entered she blushed as well. Demos mentioned for her to come closer.

-I'm good,- she said.

-I wasn't asking,- yep, he definately was demanding.

Devina stepped closer to all of the „punished", and she held her head down as well. She heard him walking towards.

-Would you like one as well?- Devina looked up and then she looked down again, not really understanding what he meant,- a chastity belt?

Even with her head down, Devina tried not to laugh. She nodded.

-I don't need one, sir,- she said.

-You both,- he said to Nathan and Cassey,- can go. And i will get you those belts today. As for you...

Demos waited for them to be alone, and he started talking.

-You were listening.

-I was,- Devina nodded.

-It's bad.

-I know.

-You had to be upstairs and not listening.

-I know,- Demos walked closer to her and she took a step back.

-You know, Devina, i know your secret.

-What secret?- she asked while looking up at him.- i have dozen.

Demos held her against him again, as he breathed in her scent, closing his eyes, he remembered the good old days with his wife.

-I will always protect you,- he spoke.

-I know, Demos,- Devina smiled and Demos kissed her. This time, for a surprise, Devina didn't fell anything else than butterflies in her stomach.

-Will you marry me?- the words accidentaly escaped his lips.

-I... uhm...

He got on his knee.

-What are you doing?- Devina couldn't believe it.

-Devina, will you marry me?- Demos took off a necklace that contained a ring and gave it to her,- this is all i have for now... but...

To his surprise Devina nodded.

-Is that a yes?- he mocked her a little bit.

-Yes, it is.
