Mirror Kingdom "Chapter 27"

It had been two days since Devina last saw Demos. Ruby was here, and both women were chatting about a lot of stuff.

Cassey was with Nathan, both trying to figure out everything for their wedding, which, apparently will be awesome, and they both just wouldn't shut up about it.

-I think i can go for a walk, if you'd join me. I would like to show something to you.

-I don't think that's a good idea,- Ruby said, her eyes worried.

-What's wrong? It's not like i'd break or something, come on Ruby, you're no fun,- Devina laughed at her comment.

-So, Demos... and you are together then...

-Uhm, what?- Devina was actually surprised.

-Nathan said he saw you both, ya know... k-i-s-s-i-n-g,- Ruby sang the last letters.

-That's nothing, and it's long gone, besides i haven't seen Demos for like two days.

-And you are counting days now?- Devina blushed.

-Stop!- she said to Ruby, who was smiling.- oh, don't do that!

Ruby giggled and it was getting on Devinas nerves.

-I don't like him!

-That's what we all say, isn't it?- Ruby laughed even louder.

-Hell, no!- Devina protested and then, when she couldn't deal with Ruby anymore, she just stood up from the bed, took her dressing gown and went to the door.

-Im sorry,- Ruby finally said,- but even with you denying that you like him, i don't blame you. I mean look at him, it's like he was meant to be so sexy.

-Will you stop?

-I think it'll be better if you agree that he is looking darn hot,- Devina rolled her eyes,- it's not a bad thing. It would just mean, that you just hit your puberty.

-What does that suppose to mean?- Devina knew the time she had her first period, but what was Ruby refering to?

Ruby followed Devina, and they walked down the stairs.

-If you hit your puberty right, you'll agree that Nathan is cute, but Mr. Demos of the Mirror Kingdom is hella sexy.

Devina face-palmed herself and sighed.

-Ok, that's it, i'll stop, but only if you say so.

-I won't, but please, please, stop this nonsense.

-It's not nonsense.

-Did he go to you? Was he asking you to ask me this? I will hit him,- Devina stopped and breathed in,- i will seriously hit him, and this time properly.

She said it as a statement, what she would have to write down not to forget.

-Where excactly are we going?

-To the garden, i need some fresh air.

-Gotcha,- Ruby followed, still whispering a lot of stuff, that made Devina blush and hate Ruby for that.

-What are you doing out of bed?- Devina already knew who was talking.

-I can move, and im fine, i'll be kicking soon, so don't worry,- she didn't even look him in the eye.

-Devina,- Demos started.

-Don't Devina me, im fine, and i wish to be let alone, please, - not having her answer, she just walked further into the garden,- thank you.

Ruby smiled at Demos.

-She likes you.

-Oh, does she now?

-Yes, she blushed, so i know. And she agreed that you are quite charming.

-Is that what she said?

-Not really, you won't get that kind of answer from her, you know that. Demos,- Ruby got serious,- you have to earn her trust, and you can't approach her like she's a normal woman. She's not.

-Are you saying she's a robot?- Demos laughed slightly.

-No, that's not what i mean, Demos. She's a girl, not yet a woman, know that...

Ruby walked away, leaving Demos with his thoughts.
