"Chapter 12" Our World

-I know your mother, she would never disapear without saying a word,- grandma said, while making hot chocolate.

-I know, gramms,- Cassey agreed,- grandpa still not talking to you?

-Yep.

Cassey knew the story what had happened between both grandparents. It appeared that granny got a job, while grandad has said that he is the head of the house, and that he will be the only person working , because he is capable.

But granny didn't listen. She didn't want to be a housewife, so she found herself a job in a local pharmacy, as she was a nurse before she met her husband.

And for ten long years grandad didn't know that granny worked there, untill one day he went home early to surprise his wife.

While passing by the flower shop, on the corner putting some medicines on the shelves, he saw his granny.

He didn't go in there, instead he waited for granny to come home. And when she did... ugh.

-Grandma, do you believe in magic?

-After what i saw in that video footage, i don't think nothing is impossible.

-So, what do you think happened to mom?

-It's hard to say, but eventually we'll find out.

-What if we return to that shop, maybe that mirror is still there...

-That doesn't mean it will do the same.

-Yeah, i know, but it's worth to try, isn't it?

-I will make dinner, and after that, maybe we can have a little family talk, i haven't seen you in ages, i want to know everything, that has happened in your life.

Grandad walked in the kitchen.

-How are you holding up, Cas?

-Im fine, grandma said she will make dinner.

-That's nice then.

-Ok, i will leave you to it, in case you need me, im upstairs.

Cassey wasn't lying, she went upstairs and put on some headphones to listen to music. She needed to get her emotions to leave her.

The worst part of it is, that Cassey doesn't know how to help her mother. She knew there has to be a way, but how?

If what she saw on the video is true, she has to be smart.

Her tablet was on the table next to her bed and she took it.

-What do i google?

She tried many different sentences.

„A mirror eats person", „How to make a mirror restore what it has taken", but nothing came up, until she saw a little advertisement on the bottom of the page.

„Mrs. Cleveland can help you, im just a phone call away, psychic and medium, tarrot cards, crystals, fortune telling."

Cassey knew internet is full of charlatans, but she needed to call that woman.

-Hello, Mrs. Cleveland is listening, how can i help you?

-Im here to ask you about my mom.

-Yes, i know.

-How can you know?

-Im a psychic, tell me child, how did she disapeared.

-Uhm, you are the psychic, you tell me.

-She disapeared through mirror,- Mrs. Cleveland responded.

-Yes, is there any way we can meet?

-My address is everywhere on the internet, see you later,- Mrs. Cleveland hang up, and there was a knock on the door.

-Where is the closest shop, we need some carrots.

-I will get them for you,- Cassey took her jacket with her and went downstairs.

She went straight to the market, and ran back as fast as she could. Don't want to get the grandma waiting.

-Her you go, i'll be upstairs.

-The dinner is almost ready.

-I'll see you after, yeah?

-Ok, honey, we will call for you.

Cassey checked the adress and find a buss that is passing Mrs. Clevelands house. A buss that's leaving in ten minutes.

She had to do this.

Grabbing her bag with her, she got out using the balcony and stairs that were used for flower grooming.

She ran to the buss stop, and soon after she was in the buss.

She walked towards the place, that clearly said Mrs. Clevelands antiques and Witchcraft.

-Im sorry, we're closed.

-Mrs. Cleveland, we spoke on the phone,- the girl turning around no way was Mrs. Cleveland and Cassey just stared.

-Mom, there is a girl asking for you!

-Im coming,- a moment later tall, blond haired woman came out,- i usually don't have any service at this hour, but for you i can do it.

The girl cleaning all up let out a sigh.

-Seriously mom, this girl doesn't even have that much money to afford a service.

-Shush,- Mrs. Cleveland smiled,- come closer, let's see what i can do for you.

When they left the room, they entered a lot smaller room with a round table in it, that had a crystal ball on top of it.

-Let's see where your mom is now, but first, do you have any jewerly?

-No, just these earings.

-It's better to take them off.

While Cassey did that, the woman moved in a large mirror.

-You need any help with that?

-Yes, please,- they both moved it and left it against the wall, and sat down, joining their hands together.

Mrs. Cleveland was chanting something, when her eyes were suddenly opened.

-Yes, i see your mother, and your best friend as well,- Cassey stared at her,- they are near.

She chanted something else, then she was gone from the table and returned with a book.

- I know there has to be a spell,- she searched for it, while Cassey thought that this lady is a mad man, and it would be the best idea to get away.

-No rushing, girl, the Mirror Kingdom awaits,- with that all Cassey saw was a bright light coming from the mirror, and she screamed on top of her lungs.
