Mirror Kingdom- Pay the Price

Devina got herself together, she stood up, her eyes red from crying, her body still shivering. She wasn't sure if kicking some ass is right thing to do in this hour.

Maybe it would be better to wait for the morning?

-I have to do it now!- she walked back the same way she came down, and now, when she got even more angry, she needed to hit something. She needed to hit someone bad.

The problem now was to find his room.

Demos.

Devina couldn't believe, that the master himself was in the right place and the right time. She watched him walking to the throne room.

Why is he up so early?

Devina followed him, still drying her face in her robe, but she didn't care.

When she saw an opportunity, no guards around, she thought, now or never. She chose now.

Demos was already inside, when she followed and closed the huge door, Demos was already around to face her.

-Devina, are you alright?- he walked closer.

-Stay where you are.

-Are you alright?- he asked one more time,- why are you up so early, and why are you in such a mess?

She didn't respond.

-When where you going to tell me?- she screamed.

-Devina, calm down, please,- Demos took a step closer.

-I told you, stay where you are, you bastard!- it was the first time, she had called someone that.

-Devina, remember who is the king,- he said, his voice not calm anymore.

-Devina, tell me, what is going on?

-You truly think im stupid?- by the look on Devinas face, Demos understood that she knows.- you were the one in the mask. And i thought it's Nathan, but it was you. Why?

-I can't answer that.

-You can't? You tricked me into thinking you were someone else!

-I didn't trick anyone.

-So how would you call that? Playing some kind of sick game? Oh, i don't know, maybe today i will kiss my sons girlfriend and we'll see what happens...!

She was ready to go onto him on full speed, to kick him properly, to make sure, he will get some „nice" broken bones.

Demos watched her, and he thought it's a little bit funny.

-Does the mighty bastard think, this is funny?- when he heard Devina saying that, he didn't laugh, but he still had his twisted smile.

She was in her room within minutes, and both Cassey and Ruby woke up, and soon, her trembling body was in a warm hug.
