It was midnight when Cassey was finally asleep, Ruby slept next to her, but Devina couldn't get any sleep.

She was in her night gown, so she took her robe and slowly, as calm as she could, got out of the room.

Devina walked right to the garden, and as she stepped in, the flowers became alive. She didn't a lot, it was dark, but as she walked deeper, a light appeared.

She heard footsteps.

-Who is there?- she turned around, but there was no one.

Devina walked, and she heard something whispering.

-... true loves kiss...- she turned again.

-Im getting crazy,- Devina stated, but then the unexpected happen, a white water lilly, opened up and talked.

-True loves kiss, we all know about it,- Devina couldn't believe what she was seeing, and now she was staring.

-How do you know?

-We always know,- the flower closed, but others started talking.

-He deserves happines,- another flower spoke.

-I bet he does,- Devina whispered.

-Do you love him?- another one spoke, and Devina turned to see which one asked this question. It was a blood red rose.

-I don't know, i sure felt that it was true loves kiss, so i think i do.

Devina passed by a rhododendron, and she touched it.

-This is beautiful,- the pink flowers answered with a small „thank you", and Devina jumped.

She was sure that during the day, nothing like this had happened, and she was up for some experiments.

-Couldn't sleep, eh?- Devina turned and finally saw someone, it was Nathan.

-Yep, you?

-Same, i think we need to talk,- he spoke softly.

-What about?- Nathan walked closer to her, and they started to walk together.

-Yesterday, when we made a wish, you and me,- Nat was serious now, and as he spoke, Devina felt that this talk won't be any good for her,- i wished for the love of my life to come forth.

-What do you mean? Before, in the party...

-Let me finish, please,- Devina nodded,- and today, a mirror sent your friend, Cassey. I think she...

-Wait, i thought you liked me?

-I did, and i still do, but the water fall usually makes no mistake, if you wish for something. If my true love was you, we would at least had a moment.

-What about the ball, the dancing, and the kiss?

-What kiss?- Nathan asked, he took Devinas hands in his,- we never kissed, it must have all been in your head.

Devina understood that he wasn't lying, but she did kiss someone.

-So, you think Cassey is the one?

-I am sure of it, and now tell me, what did you wish for?

-I didn't wish for anything,- Devina lied and started to walk away.

-Devina, i don't want this to be the end of our relationship, i wish to be your friend.

She didn't reply, she just walked.

-Devina, wait!- Nathan called her name, but she didn't listen, her eyes started to get wet, and she let the tears flow.

She ran not even knowing where to.

When she ran down the many staircases the castle had, she reached a door, that lead to a coridor, and she just let her legs guide her.

The next thing she knew, Devina was in the wine cellar, and she hid behind a wall, got her back against it, and let herself fall.

She never knew real emotions, she never felt for anyone, and now when she did, it was for the wrong person.

The person wearing a mask.

Yes, she looked at Nathan, thinking he's nothing special, but when the kiss happened, she thought it's the best thing ever.

Unless.

She stopped crying and remembered.

His jaw line, his blue eyes and black hair.

„It's so easy not to tell them apart", she remembered her own thoughts.

His strong hands, as he held Devina against him.

Not talking, so she wouldn't recognise him.

-No, no, no, it can't be...,- Devina whispered through tears.- it can't be...

Her crying stopped, her body shivering. What she felt was no fear.
