Mirror Kingdom- The Dark Dress

The next day, Devina swore to be in her room for the whole day, but Demos wasn't happy with that.

-Devina, you have to come out.

-I don't want to, leave, i want to sleep.

-You are lying, remember what i told you about lying to me?

-Go to hell.

-Well, thank you, but can't do that.

-Bruh,- she groaned.

-We will have to talk about it some day.

-Yes, some day, and today is not the day.

Devina sat up in her bed and stretched a little bit, while something caught her attention. She stood up and walked to the mirror next to the wardrobe.

The mirror was melting, like it did, when they came through it from the human realm. This time it showed images of letters and they made words.

Following the lead, Devina opened her wardrobe and searched through it. She saw the unbelievable.

Black dress.

She took it out and went to the mirror, where it continued to show images like a slide show.

Why was the mirror showing her this?

-Devina? What is going on?

-N-n-othing,- she spoke still looking at the mirror.

Touch me. The mirror showed. Devina reached her hand.

-Stop!- Demos grabbed her hand so fast, she didn't even blink.- Devina! Snap out of it!

He turned her to face him.

-Devina...

She was looking at him, but not directly, it looked like she was in a dream, her hands clutching at the black dress.

-Ruby!- Demos shouted knowing that Ruby is in the room next to theirs, and as he was shouting louder, Ruby was in the room within seconds.

-Good morning to you too, Demos,- she used sarcasm.

-No time, Ruby, help me, take this dress away from her.

-Wait, i know this,- Ruby spoke, while grabbing the dress.

-What do you mean, you know this?

-I've seen this somewhere before.

-You'll explain later, but first, help me get rid of it,- Demos shook Devina till she was out of the trance she was in.

-What the f...- she almost used the real f word, but Demos looked at her with „the look", that made her afraid of even thinking about being rude in front of him, like, seriously, ever again.

-What happened?- Ruby asked.

-The mirror, it was almost like before when we got here while shopping, it was melting and showing me pictures.

-Where did you get the dress?

-The mirror said it's in the closet, and it was.

-This dress is on a painting, Demos,- Ruby finally spoke,- this belongs to the evil witch.

-What? How?

-Let's go!

Ruby grabbed Devina, even in her nightgown, she was still dragged to the portrait hall, to a one painting that showed the royal family in the garden.

And the witch was there. The painting was quite old and the dress didn't look black anymore.

-See, i told you, it's her dress!

-How did it get into the wardrobe?

-No idea.

-Keep her safe,- Demos said and walked off.

-What are you going to do?

-If the Lady of the Dark has found a way from the human realm to contact Devina, it means that she is still alive, and i will find her.

-What is going on, Ruby?- Devina asked,

-Let's go to my room, and figure it all out, ok?- Devina nodded.
