Chasm Spoilers and this is cringe worthy.

I looked at Xiao as he looked at the opening in the ceiling. He panted as he concentrated on the last of his energy.

My eyes widened as I realized what he was doing, and Yelan seemed to realize as well.

I quickly lunged for Xiao a second before he teleported everyone else to the surface.

He stared at me for a moment as I quickly caught him. The compass finally broke as we both fell together.

"What are you doing?" He yelled at me as he tried to force himself to manifest enough magic to save me. I quickly grabbed his hand to stop him.

"I'm not letting you die alone!" I yelled back at him as his eyes widened. I felt a light shine on my back as some sort of magic swirled around us.

I quickly hugged him as we were both engulfed in the light. I gasped as I felt grass beneath my knees.

I laughed as I looked around to see everyone else.

Xiao looked up at me as I engulfed him in a hug. He sighed as he relaxed against me.

"You are an idiot." He mumbled, out of breath.

"Maybe." I chuckled as everyone else gathered around.
