"K-Kuya, are you sure this is safe?" Simon asked for the fifth time.

I sighed and knocked on the door. Tatlong katok pa lang ay bumukas na ang pinto sabay nito na niluwa si Hazel.

"Hi—who are you?!" She pointed at my brother.

"Who are you too?! Kuya, I thought this is a safe place, ba't may nakapasok na zombie?!"

"Hazel, papasukin mo na sila." Rinig kong sigaw ni Donna.

"You guys are here. Hindi naman siguro kayo kinagat 'di ba?" There's a sarcastic tone in Solene's voice.

"Mukha ba kaming infected?!" Arkin answered and rolled his eyes. "Where's my loves?" His eyes instantly glowed up.

"Nasa kuwarto siya, inaalagaan si Johanna."

Johanna? What's wrong with her?

"Anong nangyari sa kaniya?" Agad na tanong ko at binaba kaagad ang bag sa couch nila.

"Biglang nawalan ng malay kaninang pagkarating namin dito. Don't worry, Angel and Theo are there." It was Donna.

"Oh, kasama niyo rin si Kuya Theo?" Simon suddenly asked behind me.

Mukha pa silang nagulat nang biglang nagsalita si Simon. Donna raised her brows and pointed my brother.

Why do they always point at someone? 'Yan yung pinakaayaw na ugali ng kapatid ko. Bigla-bigla na lang mantuturo ng kung sino-sino.

"Don't point at him." I whispered and gave her a small smile.

"He's my brother. Simon Jaquez, please be nice to him."

"Oh. Don't worry, we'll take care of you—"

"Solene, right?" Putol ng kapatid ko sa sinasabi ni Solene. Solene startled a little bit because of my brother's voice.

"Uh…yeah, why?"

"The girl who rejected my brother years ago—"

"Simon!" I shouted and glared at him.

"Arkin, ikaw na muna ang bahala sa kaniya. Titignan ko lang si Johanna," saad ko at umalis.

I gave Solene an apologetic smile and entered Johanna's room. I found her there, lying on her bed unconscious.

"Oh, Samuel, nandito na kayo?" Gulat na tanong ni Angel.

"Yeah, Ar-j is there. Puntahan mo na muna ako na ang bahala rito."

I saw an excitement glint on Angel's face but it suddenly disappeared when she caught me looking at her teasingly.

"What?!"

Sungit.

"Nothing, just go at him."

Handa na sana itong magprotesta nang biglang sumigaw si Arkin dahilan para tumakbo paalis si Angel. It's just me and Theo who's in here.

There was silence between us until he broke it by sighing heavily.

"I heard Simon's voice, you found him." Theo suddenly spoke.

I nodded, still staring at Johanna. "Yeah, do you want to see him?"

"Mamaya na."

After that there's a silence between us again. Nakaupo lang siya sa isang upuan habang ako ay patuloy sa paghaplos ng buhok nito.

She looks so innocent while sleeping. Napaka-amo ng mukha nito.

My brows furrowed when I saw her lips. It's so pale, even her face. Para siyang walang dugo. I reach her hand and it's the same as her face. In short, ang putla nito.
