//APRIL 17TH 2021//

Opening the door to my apartment I exhale a sigh of relief. I absolutely adore my job, but I cannot wait until I have a flower shop of my own someday.

My boss Mandy is an amazing florist, honestly one of the best I've come across. I'm so grateful to be able to work under her in that aspect. That being said, her management skills are shit. I don't get my schedule for the week until 24 hours before I have to be there. She never orders enough of the right kinds of flowers, her communication skills are just downright trash... just an all around mess.

I've told her before that I'd be willing to help out with the business side of things a little more, but she won't give me the time of day. Maybe it's the controlling Scorpio in her I don't know, the point being she won't let me help at all which just makes everything more difficult. And in turn making the actual floral work a pain in my ass sometimes, which is the last thing I want to happen.

I literally graduated with a degree in business. I just don't understand why she's so stubborn about it. If she would let me help with one or two things then everything would flow so much better. I digress, soon enough I'll have saved up enough money and will be able to have a shop of my own.

I shouldn't be thinking about that too much right now anyways. It's Saturday night, which means the shop is closed tomorrow and I have all night to drink wine and watch netflix on my couch.

I set down my keys, my bag, and the mail from today, and head to the fridge. Dinner, dinner, dinner... perfect. Closing the fridge and heading to wash my hands I remember having a missed facetime call from Niall.

Niall. My Niller. My literal best friend in the whole world.

Niall and I have known each other since before I can remember. His family lived next door to mine, so you could always count on us being together. He's a year older than me, but since his parents decided to hold him back in kindergarten, we were in the same school year.

Niall was actually the one who helped me realize I wanted to be a florist. He's been taking pictures since he could talk. His grandma was a photographer, so she was the one who introduced him to it in the first place.

One day we were playing around with his new camera in the field behind our houses. We were probably seven and eight, just messing around without a care in the world.

He pulled me over to a patch of some flowers, picked a few, and then asked if I would put them all together so he could take a photo. It was then that I knew I wanted to do just that forever. Pretty lame right? But when you're young, everything just makes sense. If you just listen to the simple stuff life throws at you, you'll learn more than you ever thought you would.

I don't even want to imagine where I'd be, or what I'd be doing if I hadn't met him.

So clearly ever since the early days we've been inseparable, and that didn't change once Lorelai turned our duo into a trio.
