It's been a perfect morning.
After a... complex weekend, everything is finally feeling right. Our last Sun Ceremony sent Thomas home which was sad. He was the shy and reserved guy who really just wanted to find love of his own, you know. I hope he eventually gets there.
As for the rest of us, everyone's pretty coupled up. Bennett and I, Zayn and Phillipa, Oliver and Brooke, and then I guess it's Harry and Melina and Meg and Chad. Those two are kind of up in the air. I know Chad is not Meg's type but for now that's where we're all at.
After breakfast this morning, we all migrated to the couches by the pool and we've just been telling stories and playing a few card games. I really can't stop smiling.
"Guys look..." Brooke states, causing us all to turn our heads towards the infamous stone steps. "Here comes Jace." She finishes her statement with a wiggle of her eyebrows.
Jace is one of the crew members here at Sun k;ssed Island. He's gotta be only like eighteen or twenty years old, but he's a cutie. He wants to be a director one day so this is him starting out on his journey. He always talks about his girlfriend back home and we all give him a hard time for it when he comes around. Just a really good kid.
He only comes around when he's got a date card for someone though, so naturally we're all on the edge of our seats.
"Alright lover boy, what do you got for us?" Oliver yells at him as he makes his way over to us.
"Okay funny guy," Jace begins to taunt Oliver back. "Watch yourself, I could be holding your future right here in my hand." He says as he waves the Sun Card back and forth in front of Oliver, all of us laughing at the interaction.
"Yeah, yeah." He replies, snatching the date card out of Jace's hand.
"Well, that about does it for me. So, until next time... good luck." As Jace turns around to walk back towards the steps, I swear I catch him give a small smirk in my direction, but I decide to shake it off.
"Come on you knobhead, read the bloody card already." Zayn peeps up from the other end of the couch.
With a sigh, none other than Chad decides it's his time to pipe in with a "I can't wait to be done with you Brit's and your slang."
"That's just because you're too dumb to comprehend what it means, now isn't it Chad?" I start talking before my brain can tell me to stop and think.
Everyone snaps their heads to me, surprised that those were the first words out of my mouth in a while.
Chad squints his eyes at me, going to defend himself. "No. It's beca-"
"I can give you a play by play if you need." Meg steps in and helps me out after seeing a silent plea coming from my eyes. "There's really no shame in asking for a bit of help bud." She gives him a light pat on the back, causing us all to stifle out laughter.
