"Chan, I'm really not supposed to be in here with you."
"Relax Cherry, it's fine. If anyone says anything I'll take the fall for it. Now get in here and help me tie up this corset top." I call back at Cherry from the bathroom.
Tonight is my date with Bennett.
Yesterday after I had my conversation with Harry, I decided I wasn't going to let him have any influence in anything anymore. I deserve better than to have a half assed... whatever that was. So, I marched my way over to Bennett, and told him I would love to go on his one on one with him.
About an hour ago, I was walking back to my room to get ready for our date, when Cherry started shouting at me. Something about how she can't believe I said yes and to be careful tonight. I don't know what she's talking about. I honestly really enjoy being around Benett. However, when I tried to dismiss her, she kept talking. I didn't have time to sit and listen to her babble about something I didn't need to hear before I went on this date. So, naturally, I dragged her to my room to help me get ready.
"I honestly do not get the appeal of these tops." Cherry shakes her head as she walks into the bathroom to help me tie it up. "They all look two sizes too small, I mean it can't be comfortable to wear."
"Beauty is pain my darling Cherry." I tell her sarcastically while looking into her eyes through the mirror. "Now, squeeze me in this thing babe."
With a dry chuckle she grabs the ends of the strings, and begins to lace me up. "How did I even get myself into this mess anyways." She mutters under her breath with a slight shake of her head.
"Because you wouldn't leave me alone about this date with Bennett, that's how."
"Oh yeah!" Her head snaps up to look back into my eyes for a moment. "Why did you even say yes to him? I mean why do you even like him?"
"Because he's a nice guy." She scoffs at my words before they even finish coming out of my mouth. "I mean, why do you hate him so much?"
"Because his-" Her voice starts out stern but she cuts herself off with a sigh, looking back down to my waist, and continuing to lace me up. "Because... I just do."
I let out a small scoff of my own. I thought she was my friend. I really like Cherry, and I know she's been Harry's best friend for forever, but for her to tell me I shouldn't pursue Bennett and not give a reason, when she's still supporting Harry after how he's acted towards me? I just feel so hurt by that.
I don't need her to stop being friends with Harry, I would never, ever ask her of that. But it would be nice to have a little support from the one person who's been able to give me some comfort since coming on this show.
"You seriously can't sit there and tell me I shouldn't go out with Bennett without giving me any sort of reason Cherry." I wait for her to finish tying me up before finishing. Once she looks me in the eyes again I continue. "I like him okay? Almost as much as I liked..." My eyes leave hers, "someone else." I finish talking before looking back at her. "If you can't tell me why you hate him so much, then I'm going on this date. And I don't want to hear anything else about it, unless you've got something more to say, a real reason for me. I consider you a friend, Cherry. And as my friend you should be happy for me. Do you think you can do that? Because I'd really like for you to stay my friend."
