4th of July Special (Tobias x Rudy)

It was the 4th of July, a holiday that Rudy was extremely happy about. A whole holiday revolving around fireworks? That sounded amazing to Rudy.

Rudy loved fireworks. Back in Denmark, for New Years, Rudy and Ben had always lit off fireworks together. It was always so much fun.

Rudy was a little nervous about it this time though. Ben wouldn't be here with him- he had to keep reminding himself that was a good thing -and the U.S. had different laws about fireworks, and this time, someone else he'd been dating for a while was coming over.

Tobias arrived at Rudy's house just as darkness was starting to fall.

"Tobi!" Rudy shouted as Tobias stepped out of Luther's car.

Rudy hugged Tobias.

"Hello Rudolph." Tobi said.

Tobi and Rudolph went inside so Tobi could set his bag down, and then went into Rudolph's back yard.

Rudy's dad was standing there, along with Rudy's mom and Adam.

"Alright." Rudy's dad said. "Let's set off some fireworks."

"Yeah!" Adam shouted.

Rudy, Tobias, Adam, and Rudy's mom stood back as Rudy's dad lit off the fireworks.

Tobias stared at the sky in amazement. He'd never seen fireworks before.

Rudy was nervous, and Tobias sensed that something was wrong, and grabbed a hold of Rudy's hand, squeezing it tightly.

Rudy looked over at Tobi for a brief second and smiled, and then returned to looking at the sky.

Tobi was proud of himself that he'd finally done something right in the relationship. They started dating at the end of the school year, and Tobias didn't know how to properly act, but it was ok, because Rudy and Tobias were getting through their troubles together.

They went back inside when the fireworks were done.

Rudy and Tobias stayed up late talking.

Until Tobias accidentally said something that triggered Rudy.

Rudy started tearing up.

Tobias moved over to hug him, but Rudy pushed the boy away.

"Rudy, I'm sorry." Tobi said.

"I know." Rudy said, sniffling.

Tobi then hugged Rudy, and made sure he was completely ok.

It was 1 in the morning then, and they were both tired.

Rudy, still a little bit upset, fell asleep hugging Tobi. Tobias was holding him. And the 2 boys fell asleep in each other's arms.
