"Daddy im tired!"
She started pulling on Dazais coat,stumping her feet in protest and dazai knew what exactly that meant
"But you want ice cream don't you!? If daddy holds you now then he gets tired and can't buy you ice cream!"
Sakono whined a and pulled his coat more aggressively
"But daddy never gets tired! I want ice creams and I want you to hold me!"
Dazai sighed, it's game on and he was already tired from work. Going for a walk late at night because his daughter was being a little brat running on his husbands nerves was the last thing he wanted so he took her out for ice creams hoping she'd be less grumpy but it seemed he's great plan had been failed by the greatest last game boss he never got passed, his children! Well this time his daughter only! Lucky them when sakono is being grumpy, Fumiya is calm and tries not to be a bother, sometimes he offers to help too and Dazai knows he is just trying to make up for them cuz of something he did or will do eventually!
"Hey sakono!? You promised Fumiya to get him an ice cream too yeah!?"
Dazai looked down at his daughters tearful eyes
"Yeah!"
Sakono noded
"Now if i hold you with the ice creams I'd be the one bringing him the ice creams not you! Then your brother can't trust you with your words! Are you ok with that!?"
Sakono thought for a second
"Like that one time mommy didn't tell you where he was going and you went out to spy on him!?"
Dazai laughed
"Well i went there to be sure he didn't need my help but yeah kinda like that"
She laughed and dazai started walking again, if only he could make it to this block and buy the ice creams then it should be fine giving her a lift back home. For now he just tried keeping her company and distracting her, it's nice seeing her smile too.
"I once spied on big brother too!!"

"Oh!? You did!? Did he find out!?"
Dazai played along with his sneaky face
"No he didn't! He was trying to go to your room and steal something when I supposed to be asleep !"
Dazai was always good at making people talk but this one was getting scary
"Well! You're a good spy like daddy! So
what did you see!?"
Sakono started jumping in front of him and running farther to tell him her mission results face to face
" it was dark so i hid behind my closet and when he came back he had hand cuffs and he put them under his pillow!"
Dazai frowned, but kept his game face
"Oh he did!? What do you think he's ganna do with them!?"
Sakono stopped walking and covered her mouth and looked up at hid father with scared eyes and shook her head
"I cant tell you!"
Dazai found her act cute... of course he knew what the deal was but he needed a little bit more talking to the market.
"Ok my girl, you have to keep his secrets! But well...it's such a waste!"
Dazai made a sad face and patted her hair and started walking again leaving sakono behind with a smirk.she was interested.
"What was a waste!?"
"Humm...well I thought you and me could play detective and solve a little mystery now that you have gathered information yourself and give you a little taste of my works thrill but if you can't say it then we have nothing to investigate, since you seem like being in on it too"
Dazai smirked with a "i know what's up" face to her daughter
"Oh and look here we are! Now you can have some ice creams!"
Sakono look suspicious but then a bit scared that she might have just gave themselves away.
she hesitated but then went for the ice creams,making dazai smile while watching her and waiting for her to pick the flavors.
He knew she'd never talk about this cuz the face he just gave her,well maybe. His children never fail to surprise him.
He sat down at a bench and watched Sakono while resting his feet. Maybe they sat there a bit, he thought while his daughter paid for four ice creams as she was learning to and headed back towards her daddy who was smiling at her for not forgetting to get the exchange this time!
"I bought this new flavor for daddy!!!"
She yelled as she shook the ice cream above her head
Dazai leaned and took her up on his lap looking at the ice creams, moving a brow up.
"Do you even know what a cinnamon looks like!?"
Sakono took out a chocolate ice cream (apparently her own) and set it next to dazai's
"They are both brown ! I thought it's delicious! "
Dazai knew she was curious about the taste but wasn't willing to risk not having a chocolate so she bought it for him just to taste it later
He laughed and nodded at her statement
"Well, we are going to find out at home when we eat it!"
"We can't eat now!?"
"What about mama and big brother!?"
Sakono had her puppy eyes and dazai looked her in the eyes .... for a good few minutes!
"You can have yours now..."
He said with low voice full of tiredness and wanting to get home as she smiled with a "yayi" opening her ice cream up attacking it like a starving kid. That made dazai laugh. To be honest this sight was the main reason dazai usually took the kids for ice creams,even though Chuuya was against it saying they have to eat healthy and you're spoiling them too much. But their mouths covered with ice cream, brown and pink , eyes field with joy and sparkles that lasts all night just cuz daddy's taking them for ice cream, worth Chuuya's kicks. (Not this time,he practically begged him with just giving him the look "take her out of the house or i'd kill everyone")
He wished he had brought Fumiya too, forgetting about the mess he found these two and their mom when he got home.
He cleaned Sakono s mouth every chance he got while she enjoyed her ice cream,but she didn't like it so she jumped off his lap setting next to him with a little distance so he couldn't reach her
"Daddy...i want to keep big brothers secret after all!"
She said out of nowhere, dazai looked suppressed
"Oh!?"
"I and won't let you have your own investigations! Alone or with mama!"
She said frowning and looking all serious all of a sudden, staring at his eyes.
Dazai smiled and moved his hands up smiling at her and trying not to reach and clean her mouth for the last time
"I won't! I promise!" ( cuz I know the hole thing already) he couldn't say that obviously but that seemed to get her trust
"But,Why shouldn't i !?"
Dazai asked,really wanting to know the answer
Sakono covered her dirty mouth with both hands moving her head left and right and saying "I'm not telling you!!!"
Dazai scooped her up with one hand, cleaning her mouth and hands and standing up with ice creams on his other hand,pushing her daughters cheek to his own,feelings like he just woke up full anergy and able to run home with Sakono .
He lifted her up and sat her on his shoulders, taking her hands in one!

"Shall we head home then!?"
