You Make It Feel Like Christmas

I want to thank the storm

That brought the snow

At 7:00 in the morning, Chuuya found himself in the kitchen making breakfast. It was Christmas Eve and as a tradition, he was always the first one up. Quiet mornings were rare in his household ever since his son was born. It was probably the only time he would be getting to himself for the next two days, so he was basking in this peace. With the sound of Christmas music playing on the radio and bacon sizzling in the pan in front of him, it was serenity.

He watches the grease on the bacon pop and waits for the savory meat to turn crispy just the way his family likes it. He's spent years since his marriage doing this every day, so it came as second nature to him now. Chuuya mindlessly hums to the Christmas song, trying to decide what was he doing today with his family. His baby was out of school for the holidays, and his alpha decided to take the rest of the year off to spend with them.

"Mommy?"

Chuuya's heart skips a beat like it always does when he hears his precious son, Kenta, call him that. Growing up as an omega in an orphanage, he never thought he would get the life he had now. Ten years ago, he never saw himself having pups or bonding to an alpha. He was told since he was four years old that an omega like him was only good for breeding, so he always avoided alphas and betas until he met his husband.

"Mommy."

Chuuya looks down to see the carbon copy of his mate except for the blue eyes that matched his own. The five-year-old was rubbing the sleep out of his eyes, holding his one hand in the air—the tell-tale sign that he wanted the omega to pick him up. The laugh was already escaping his lips as he crouched down with open arms. As much as his son tried to be the head alpha in their house, he always acts like a baby to get cuddles from the omega.

"Good morning, Honey." Chuuya greets with the biggest smile he can muster up. "Did my baby sleep well?"

The grunt he receives from the tiny alpha serves as just another reminder of how much his child decided to favor his mate. Everyone who knows his mate knew the alpha was not a morning person at all. He chuckles, rubbing his son's back while the other lazily rubs his scent on Chuuya.

Like father, like son. Chuuya thinks with a pleased smile since the two important alphas in his life somehow do the same thing every morning. The omega always gets trapped by the two until their inner alphas are satisfied with Chuuya completely drenched in their pheromones.

"Do you want to visit the park tonight to see the light show?" The omega tries to engage his son in talking but gets ignored in favor of the alpha wanting to get more rest on the redhead's shoulder. It was going to be a long morning if his son continued in his mood. Two grumpy alphas before breakfast would be a headache.

The omega goes back to work on breakfast, humming quietly to the Christmas songs that were still playing on the radio. Mornings like these were the special moments he never got growing up. This was what he spent many nights dreaming of to experience with his pups. After years in an orphanage, he got what he yearned for the most: A family.

So, when he hears the little snores coming from his pup in his arms, he squeezes the small body to his chest a little more. He peppers the top of the brunet's head with kisses while the drool from his child soaking his shirt served as a physical affirmation that he was not dreaming. This was his life.

My heart skipped and I reacted

Can't believe that this is happening

Like a present sent from God

"Dazai, it's Christmas Eve. We don't open gifts today." Chuuya frown in disapproval at his mate who was just caught handing one of the perfectly wrapped gifts under the tree to their son. The brunets both paused, looking at the omega bashfully like they did every time they did something bad. The two alphas smile—barely looking embarrassed that they were caught doing their usual mischief.
