One Small Mistake

One week ago.

Dazai walked into the apartment, shutting the door behind him. He hummed a song to himself as he removed his shoes and overcoat. Placing each of them in their proper spots, or facing the wrath of a certain chibi, he walked through the living room. The apartment was quiet, and Dazai shrugged his shoulders. If the slug was home, there would be the fresh aroma of something delicious cooking, or he would be cleaning. Since he heard no noise, it seemed as though Chuuya was not home yet.

It would seem he would have to wait to torment him. Oh well. Instead, Dazai walked to their shared bedroom and opened the door. He moved over to a dresser and opened up the top drawer. Chuuya had decided to split the piece of furniture, and Dazai claimed the top two shelves firmly stating it was because he was taller. That had earned him a kick in the shin. It was worth it.

Dazai gathered up a change of clothes, closing the dresser drawer. While he waited, a nice bubble bath was calling his name. He walked down the hallway and stopped at the bathroom door. Without hesitation, he opened it up and nearly dropped his things on the floor. Chuuya was in the bathroom. The shrimp jumped, letting out a very undignified, surprised yell, obviously not expecting it. Dazai was not expecting him either. Especially with nothing on.

Chuuya had been towel drying his hair, having just gotten out of the bath. He was staring at him wide-eyed like a deer in headlights and one could hear a pin drop in the silence. Dazai found himself unable to look away. Instead, he took in all Chuuya had to offer. After what seemed like minutes but were only a few seconds, Chuuya quickly moved the towel and covered himself. "What the hell?! Don't you know how to knock?!"

Dazai snapped from his trance and found himself a bit bummed out that Chuuya covered up. He was really enjoying the view. "I didn't know you were home!"

"You didn't see my shoes and coat when you came in?!" Oh. He must have missed them. Chuuya was red to his ears as he looked away. "Just knock next time anyway, okay? Now can you leave so I can get dressed?"

"Ah um sure." Dazai answered, before he closed the door and leaned against it. His heart was racing in his chest and he was overcome with a very strange feeling. He was not used to feeling like this.

Present

Dazai let out a sigh as he flopped down on the sofa. He looked up at the ceiling as his mind began to wander. Since that day, Dazai had begun to feel very weird inside. He had done his best to play it off and so far Chuuya had not suspected a thing. The shrimp had been awkward the rest of the day when he had walked in on him. The next day, it was like nothing happened. To Dazai, it was almost like torture. He was starting to notice different things about his boyfriend. The way his clothing fit his body, or the way he did certain things. Everything he did, made his mind go rabid. The touches were worse. Much worse.

Every time their hands would touch or they would hug or kiss, it was like electricity surged through him. He found himself wanting more, needing it. The worst one of all, however, were the dreams. Dreams that refused to leave his mind. Ones that made him make a quick dash to the bathroom for a cold shower before Chuuya suspected anything. It was nothing short of torture. After a week, Dazai was unsure if he could take it anymore. The urges he felt made him want to go crazy.

However, Dazai found himself unable to act out on them. Chuuya had a hard time accepting affection as it was. It had been over a month since they started dating and he had never shown any signs of furthering the relationship in an intimate way. It took over a week for him not to blush when he even kissed him. It was odd to think a person like Chuuya was shy when it came to things like that. Honestly, he could not blame him. He spent most of his life thinking he was not even human after all.
