· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·Loreth went back to her chambers with a new skip in her step. Thorin was her soulmate. A large part of still couldn't believe it and felt as if she were in some sort of dream. Soon she would wake up and all of this will never have happened. But if it was so, she prayed to whatever God was up there, that she stay asleep. For the waking world was far too cruel.
She put on the rust colored dress that was laid out for her, with a smile on her face. She feared what the other dwarves would think about her and their king, but if they had known the whole time and said nothing then surely they were accepting of her being Thorin's One.

When the mermaid was ready, she left her chambers and went to find the rest of the company. Luckily she found Thorin at the entrance to a courtyard. Who spotted her with a warm smile.
She stood next to him. The noisy chatter of the dwarves drinking their fill of wine this morning, sat at round stone tables, not yet aware of her entry.
"You look beautiful," he greeted.
Loreth looked down bashfully. This attention he was giving her was new but beyond welcome.
"Thank you, Thorin. So-" she looked to the dwarves, "-what are we doing today?"
"If I can get them to stop drinking, we will leave before noon."
Loreth's head snapped to the dwarf king," leave?"
"Aye. We cannot stay. Gandalf told us to head for the mountain pass, and he will meet with us there." Thorin looked at Loreth who had a saddened expression on her face. He reached out a hand and cupped her cheek, tilting her face up, "this saddens you."
She nodded and looked in his eyes, leaning into the warmth of his hand, "a little. This place is absolutely wonderful and it's so beautiful."
He shrugged, "I think it pales in comparison to you." He smirked at her side glance.
"You're very flattering, Thorin," Loreth laughed, "but I mean what I said. The elves are so accommodating, the very air feels likes it's vibrating with magic, and not to mention the dresses—they are absolutely beautiful and comfortable."
Thorin eyed the dress she was wearing, "there will be meany wonderful dresses in Erebor. Just you wait."
"Oi! There they are!" Called one of the dwarves.
Thorin held out his arm for Loreth and she took it, letting him lead her further into the courtyard.
Dwalin raised a brow, "are those... courting braids?"
Loreth and Thorin looked at each other and Thorin spoke, "It is."
There were cheers all around; congratulating the new couple and Thorin finding his One. Although there were quite a bit of 'I told you so's' and some dwarves exchanged coin purses. Of course they had taken bets Loreth should not have been as surprised as she was at that.
