Rachel's pov
As Jesse and I walked along the highway road I took out my map,"hmm,I dunno Jesse:it seems like we're getting closer."i said as I looked at the map.suddenly,a strong breeze came out of nowhere.sand got in my eyes,"AH!"I yelled in pain.i felt the map slipping out of my hands,Jesse barked.when I managed to open my eyes I saw Jesse had the map in his mouth,I gasped and smiled."good boy!"i said as I petted him,I took out the map from his mouth.as we were about to walk again I heard my stomach growl,"uh oh."I gasped.i put my hand on my tummy,as Jesse and I were about to sit down we heard a car engine.we looked to our left and saw some sports cars,I gasped.
I waved my arms in the air,one car stopped."What's a kid like you doing out here?"the guy driving the car asked,"I need to get to Miami to find my friend."I explained to the guy."I can take you there,I'm actually going there for a street race."he said,"wha a coincidence!i like street racing!"i said.i open the car door and got in,as soon as Jesse got in I closed the car door.the guy began to drive,i exhaled."So where are you from kid?"he asked,"California."I replied."California huh?i hear it's hot there."he said,"well I bet Miami is hotter."i said.he chuckled,"it is,trust me."he said."oh geez,I didn't pack any sunscreen."I said,"I'm sure you'll be fine."he said.
