Genie
"So, we all know that Chaeyoung unnie signed the contract with us because our genius CEO told her that our debut will be delayed if she decline to be our leader right?" I asked and they nodded.
"In comparison, since she signed it, she entered a gambling arena and joined in a game. Then she laid down her bet, Lisa unnie" I began and they were immediately confused. I'd be lying if I say I didn't expect them to be.
"What do you mean?" Jeed asked.
"She broke up with Lisa, she let go of one of her most valued person, as her bet for the game, and a bet, once laid down, either you will get twice as much, or completely lose it" I tried to explain it in a simple way.
"Okay, I got it, continue please" Blythe nodded so with Jeed.
"And this day, the game started. Lisa,... Lisa unnie has left home" they gasped.
"So what do we do?" Jeed asked.
"Good question. Because we are the reason that she was forced to play the game, we will play alongside her, aiming for a win. You'll ask me how to win? Be worth it for her sacrifice. That is two years of progressive success and it won't be easy considering we are just rookies except for our leader" we all sighed.
"But then, if we win, how sure are we that the original bet will be returned to the betor? Another player might pocket it and replace it?" Blythe asked.
"I also thought about that. I realized this game has a B-side, which is as hard as the main game" I sighed before continuing.
"We will work hand in hand with the success. I'm not comfortable but we have to use our leader as a front from now on, we are left with no choice. But we have to split roles with the B-side of the game. You two should watch over the bet while I watch over the betor, keeping them in track, in any way. Do you get my point?" I ask.
"Yes, I'm just wondering why you always use logic and metaphors to explain serious matters. It's giving me headache" Jeed complained.
"But admit it, it's making you wise" Blythe teased but received a punch in the arm for it.
"So, I deserve half of these cupcakes right?" I asked teasing.
"No!" they blurted out at the same time making me laugh.
"By the way, the unnies has invited us up for lunch for a mini party. Do..." I'm not yet done speaking but was interrupted.
"Yes yes let's go" it was Jeed.
"Mini party? But why?" Blythe asked.
I smiled at her. If there's another person as cautious as me, it is Blythe.
"Jisoo unnie said they wanted to celebrate our turnover of apartments" I smiled with a hint of mischief in my eyes. Of course they saw it.
"Turnover who? Odd, they should have just stated directly they wanted to interrogate us" Blythe jeered.
"So what's wrong with it. I mean, they are our seniors, they might as well give us some tips" Jeed commented.
In normal situations, we will agree with Jeed. The thing is, we were caught up in a mess, leading me to think about other things.
"Or they might want to know more about us, to see what has Chaeyoung unnie seen in us that she dare choose us over her girlfriend" I speak out my thought.
"I was thinking the same" Blythe agreed.
"Aren't you two over thinking?" Jeed asked shaking her head.
