March 30...CONTINUED
As the game progressed, Alexis grew weary and Beyonce grew aggravated at all the photographers taking pictures of them. She didn't really mind it before, but now there was twice as many and most of them were there because of the recent scandal surrounding the Carter's.
"They're getting on my nerves." Beyonce whispered into Shawn's ear. He just nodded and kept his focus on the game. He figured that if you ignore them, eventually they will ignore you. His wife had other ideas. "Do you even care?" She asked raising her eyebrow.
"I mean it's whatever. Let them do whatever they want. As long as they don't put you guys in any type of danger, it's cool."
His attention went right back to the game taking place and Beyonce looked down at Alexis. She had her head hanging to the side and her feet swinging back and forth.
"I think I'm gonna go home and take her with me, she's tired." Beyonce whispered into his ear again. He looked down at Alexis and smiled.
"Aww, my baby girl is tired." He tickled her sides and got a light reaction of laughter. Definitely not the usual. "Alright well let's go."
"No you can stay, I'll take her." He searched for the little bit of doubt in Beyonce's eyes, but found none. She was sincere about it. "See you at home. Say bye to daddy." Alexis lazily threw her arms around her father and gave him a hug.
"Bye daddy." Still not accustomed to showing much affection in public, Beyonce just smiled at him and picked her daughter up in her arms. She hurriedly walked off of the court, not expecting a big commotion by it.
The tabloids had another view on it.
Could this be the end for the Carter family?
[At last night's game against the Nets and the Lakers, Beyonce Carter was not in a good mood. Sources that sat near the couple say that Beyonce, 28, and husband Shawn, 30, were not happy with the amount of attention they were getting due to their previous scandal. Earlier in the day it was revealed that the couple was involved in a sex tape controversy and the headlines have been nonstop with it. So how does this affect their relationship? Onlookers say that while Beyonce did attend the game, she both arrived and left early. A sign of a downfall? We think so. The couple has a three year old daughter, Alexis, and some say that they might try to work this out for her sake. A source close to the couple has been quoted as saying "They love that girl more than anything; she is definitely what is holding their relationship together at the moment." So is this the end? Only time will tell.]
Are the tabloids wrong?
---
"Of course they made it up!" Beyonce said as she sat on the sofa and drank a glass of orange juice.
"Well, I'm just saying, the pictures they had looked very believable. You looked mad as hell." Michelle said on the other line of the phone. This is what Beyonce hated about the tabloids, it made it difficult for her friends and family. They didn't know what to believe and what not to believe, it was a crazy experience for them all.
"I came late because I had a meeting; I left early because Alexis was asleep. There's nothing more to it." She explained. "What picture did they include?"
"Shawn looking at the game intensely and you all in his ear." Michelle responded. "He's scrunching his face up like he smells something bad." She said laughing. Beyonce shook her head and smiled. That was just like Shawn. Too into the game sometimes.
"Well I don't know what to tell you, we're fine. You know I'm not gonna lie to you."
"Yeah, I know. I gotta go now so I'll talk to you later, love you, bye." Beyonce ended her conversation just in time. Alexis came walking into the room with tears streaming down her cheeks.
"Mommy!" She held her fingers in her mouth as the slobber traveled down her hand and chin.
"What's wrong baby?" Beyonce lifted her up onto the couch and rocked her in her lap. "Did somebody hurt you?" Alexis shook her head and held onto her mother. "You gotta tell me what's wrong so I can try to fix it." She said wiping her daughter's eyes.
"Daddy isn't going to live with us anymore." She hollered.
Tabloids. They do more than just lie to the public; they lie to the people involved. Here was an innocent child that never thought about her parent's not being together and not raising her together, but now that she was becoming older, things on TV were making more sense. She could piece together information and understand what they were talking about.
"Sweetie daddy is always going to live with us. He's always going to be here. Okay?" Beyonce tried her best to explain but it wasn't working. Alexis kept crying and holding onto her mother for dear life.
She didn't ask for this lifestyle, none of them did, but they had to live it.
