The next morning y/n was helping her older brother Jonathan quickly whip up breakfast. Joyce, her mother was frantically trying to find her keys while Will was still asleep.

"Where the hell are they?" Joyce was muttering as she searched.

"Check the couch!" Jonathan called.

"Ugh I did," Joyce said but less then a second later she was saying "Oh. . . Got them."

"Okay I'll see you guys tonight." Joyce said and came up and kissed her two out of her three children on the head.

"Yep see you later." Y/n said as she started serving breakfast.

"Where's Will?" Joyce asked upon noticing her other son wasn't in the room.

"I don't think he's up yet," y/n answered. "Probably still sleeping."

Joyce scolded then walked off down the hallway to Wills room.

"Will! Come on, honey. It's time to get up." She said and opened his bedroom door only to find he wasn't there.

"He came home last night, right?" Joyce asked as she came back up the hallway. Y/n suddenly had a strong wave of worry and confusion wash over her.

"He's not in his room?" Jonathan asked.

"Did he come home or not?" Joyce asked, sounding worried.

"I don't know. I got home late I was working." Jonathan stammered out.

Joyce sighed looking slightly disappointed at Jonathan. "You were working?" She said.

"I just thought we could use the extra cash." Jonathan said guiltily.

"He wasn't here when I got home after tutoring and that was around nine." y/n chimed in.

"Jonathan, you can't take shifts while I'm working—" Joyce went to say but y/n cut her mother off.

"Mum, relax he probably just stayed at Mike's house. Probably didn't wanna bike all the way home that late by himself." She said.

Joyce sighed and immediately went to the phone. She dialled the Wheelers number while y/n tapped her foot anxiously under the table.

"Hi, Karen. It's Joyce." she said once Karen answered the phone "Was that Will I heard back there?"

"Will didn't spend the night?" Joyce went onto say.

Y/n and Jonathan shared a worried look.

"Um, you know what? I think he just left early for school. Thank you so much. Bye." Joyce said lastly before hanging up the phone.

"Will never usually leaves for school without me."
y/n said. It was true.

"Um yeah," Joyce said anxiously "y/n—you should go to school I'll call the chief. He probably just got a little lost on his way home last night."

Y/n nodded. Hopefully Will will be home safe by the time she gets home from school.
