It had been nearly a year since Will got stuck in the upside down and Elevens disappearance. Everything was mainly back to normal except Wills occasional episode. But he was seeing the doctors. He will get better, hopefully.
Y/n, on the other hand felt like she was losing her mind for a completely different reason. Over the last couple months her so called 'small' crush on Mike was getting out of hand. She can't wipe the stupid grin off her face every time he talks or interacts with her.
It had to go away. And it had to go away now. But little did she know, Mike was having the exact same issue.
He hadn't got the confidence again to tell her unlike the time he did in the bathroom last year. Dustin and Lucas encouraged by saying they were 99% sure y/n liked him back. Mike hadn't told Will and felt like he should tell him before y/n because Will was his best friend and y/n was his sister. It only made sense. Knowing Will though he would probably be chill about it.
Currently the party has made plans to go to the arcade for a few hours.
Joyce was driving Will and y/n since she didn't like Will biking anymore.
"Okay. So I'll pick you up in two hours that's 9:00, alright." Joyce told her children, who her desperate too get out of the car.
"Okay, okay." Will said.
"If anything happens, if you need to come home, just ask them to use their phone and call me. Okay? Don't—"
"Don't want or bike home, I know, I know." Will said and got out of the car quickly.
"Y/n," Joyce stopped her daughter as she was getting out of the car. "Make sure he's alright."
Y/n nodded. "Of course." She said before getting out of the car and catching up with her brother and friends.

"To slay the dragon, use the magic sword." Said the wildly sexist video game character, princess Daphne. Dustin was playing and his friends were watching.
"This game is so sexist." Y/n said. "Her outfit is very questionable."
All the boys ignored her.
"Oh, Jesus! I'm in uncharted territory here, guys." Dustin said.
