The first day of spring break had arrived. What that also meant was Mike's flight was arriving early in the morning.

Y/n could barely contain her excitement as her, Will, El, Jonathan and Argyle waited in the airport. She was practically bouncing off her seat. She hadn't seen Mike for three months since she and the others went up to Hawkins for Christmas and New year. The time before that was Thanksgiving and the time before that was before y/n moved.

"Flight 623 from Indianapolis arriving at gate two." Said the worker over the speakers. That was Mike's flight.

Y/n perked up and started searching among the people arriving in the airport.

She spotted him after a few seconds and smiled brightly.

"Mike." She called when he hadn't spotted her yet.

He looked ahead and saw his girlfriend smiling brightly. His face lit up immediately.

Y/n wasted no more time and stood up and ran towards him, quickly cupping his face, bringing him into a short sweet kiss before throwing her arms over his shoulders and hugging him tightly. Mike responded and did the same, burring his face in her hair. He'd dearly missed this.

"Careful, you're squishing your present." Mike chuckled and they pulled away from each other.

Y/n realised he was carrying a small bouquet of flowers. Her heart warmed as Mike handed them to her.

"I-I handpicked those for you in Hawkins." He said.

"They're lovely." Y/n said and admired the bouquet. It was a mix of Virginia blue bell flowers and Black-eyed Susan flowers. They were beautiful.

She glanced at the small card tied to the bouquet.

To y/n.

From Mike.

Her smile faltered slightly. From. She regained her smile and tried to shake it off.

"Thank you." She said and stood on her toes to kiss Mike quickly on the cheek, making his face turn slightly pink.

She turned to show El her bouquet of flowers whilst Will went to greet Mike.

"Oh, hey." Mike said as Will went in for a hug but Mike shook him off and turned to Jonathan.

"Hey, Mike." Jonathan said

"Hey. How are you doing?" Mike replied.

"Yeah, good, man." Jonathan said as Mike turned back to Will after noticing something in his hand.

"What's that?" He asked.

"Um, it's nothing. Just this painting I've been working on." Will shrugged.

"Cool." Mike nodded.

"That's a rad shirt, man." Argyle spoke up. "Ocean Pacific?"

"Oh, Mike. This is my friend Argyle." Jonathan said quickly.

"I heard a lot about your sister." Argyle said with a serious look on his face.
