"We have to go back," Jacob announced quickly jumping into action.

"We'll never make it!" Maisie said looking out at the distant island.

"Depends on how fast you can bail," Jacob said handing her a bucket.

"Jacob give me your knife," Lillianna demanded as she stood over the whole.

"Why?" he asked. Sighing in frustration she grabbed the front of his belt pulling him towards her before pulling the knife from his side. Jacob would lie if he said the action didn't make his heat beat slightly faster. And that same irritating feeling that made him nervous returned.

Slashing the knife down Lillianna cut into her dress ripping it off before shoving it into the whole. Jacob who had quickly turned away let out a small sound of shock.

"What?" Lillianna asked.

"You could warn a man before you do something like that," he huffed rubbing the back of his neck.

"I'm wearing pants underneath it idiot," Lillianna remarked back grunting as she shoved the rest of it in. Jacob cleared his throat turning back around hesitantly to see her words were true before sitting down and starting to row. Lilliana stood back up and took one of the ores out of his hand before falling into the same rhythm.

"Maybe Red can take us!" Maisie beamed with her idea.

"Back to the island?" Jacob asked.

"No, back home!" she said.

"You have really lost it," Jacob grunted.

"She saved us from that thing, didn't she?" She argued Red turning around to watch the little boat of humans curiously. Jacob scoffed obviously offended by the idea of the beast doing the saving and not him.

"Wait... She... Are you... I think I did the saving, right? I mean, I threw the, the," he paused his rowing to argue only to see it was pointless.

"Get bailing! The water's coming in!" he ordered before continuing to row.

"Honestly your like a child when you argue," Lillianna muttered through huffs.

"Yeah well jokes on you, children win arguments," he snapped back.

"Only because the adults let them think that," Lillianna replied.

"Hey! Red!" Maisie called out. The beast turned lowling so her nose was close to the boat.

"See this little guy?" Maisie asked holding up the blue blob. "This is you," she said.

"You're wasting your time," Jacob grunted.

"Don't be so negative. Your breaking her confidence," Lillianna said giving his ribs a soft elbow.

"Good, she's got to much confidence," He argued.

"Kids can never have to much confidence," Lilliana said back.

"And this is me. And this is him and this is her," Maisie said holding up three fruits, Jacob being the spiky one and Lillianna being the fluffy red one.

"Are you putting on a puppet show? We're sinking here," Jacob said rowing faster. Maisie put all of the fruit in a little boat and put it on blues head.

"We need to get way over there. And I wonder if you might be good enough to take us?" she finished. The beast looked to where she was pointing both Lillianna and Jacob slowing there row to a stop as they waited for the beasts reaction. The beast turned back around and dived under the water.

"Well, if she does understand ya, she don't wanna help. Bright side? She didn't eat ya. Now, get bailing," Jacob ordered. Lillianna gave Maisie a reassuring smile at her defeated look before continuing to row. Maisie reached over the side for the bail only for the water to turn red. A deep wail of the beast was heard as it head emerged form under them the three of them letting out small screams as the boat turned before thudding down on the beasts head.

Maisie laughed excitedly as Jacob chuckled in disbelief. Lillianna let out a deep breath before chuckling along with Maisie in aww.

They were ridding on the back of the red bluster. Lillianna hardly could believe it.

"I told you she was more than a beast!" Maisie explained proudly. Excitingly she ran up the boat and jumped of the end her feet getting caught causing her to fall on her hands and knees. Lillianna slowly stood looking around her in aww.

Maisie felt the beast under her palm the excitement and aww bubbling over to a loud cheer that erupted from her chest.

"Woo!" she yelled pumping her fists into the air. Jacob let out a breath half laugh as he smiled slightly. Maisie smiled turning towards the two of them.

"The world is wide, Jacob. And you don't know everything," she said turning back to the front.

"Kids got a point," Lillianna said simply before taking off her shoes and gently stepped down onto the back of the beast. The skin felt smooth like the marble floors of the palace, but instead of it being cold and hard it was warm and soft. Lillianna walked up to Maisie's side before closing her eyes and tilted her head back ever so slightly letting the wind rush through her. Taking a deep breath she chuckled.

"You know what I just realized?" Lillianna asked looking down at Maisie who looked up in her.

"Were ridding a sea beast," Lillianna said earing a bubbling laugh from Maisie.

"Bet you don't read that in your story books," Lillianna said ruffling her hair.
