Jacob sat on the shore looking out at his ship, his expression was dark his hands clasped over his mouth his elbows resting on his knees. The general had arrived in a fuss having no idea of anything that had transpired. Sharp did her best to explain casting a worried look back at her captain only to see him storming up the deck his dark expression now locked on a certain admiral.

"You fucken low, no good swine!" His tone showed just how pissed he was and if that didn't do it the unrelenting punch across the admiral's cheek sure did. His crew was quick to hold him back from delivering another as the admiral crumpled to the ground with a whimpering scream.

"What is the meaning of this?" The general asked stepping between the two.

"He put a bounty on Lillianna," Jacob hissed pointing an accusing finger.

"You brut, I could have you hanged for that," The admiral yelled making Jacob take another step scaring the Admiral to scamper to his feet and hide behind another sailor.

"Where is she, where have you taken her?" Jacob was furious. Yet he knew he had to be calm so he settled for a threatening mix of the two.

"I haven't taken her anywhere!" The admiral snapped.

"Is this true admiral?" Lia asked sharing in Jacob's angered expression.

"Look," The admiral didn't plan to be found out, and he certainly didn't want to be stuck by Jacob again. "Yes, I put a bounty on her. But I was away at sea, It's an honest mistake if I thought you had kidnapped her," Jacob tried again to get closer to the admiral only for his crew to stop him.

"Alright fine. I'm in the wrong. But that's all I did. I swear I have nothing to do with her disappearance!" The admiral cowered in fear.

"Men put the admiral under arrest," Lia ordered. The admiral was quickly taken away.

"Now tell me everything," Lia demanded.

When everything was explained Lia led her soldiers to the palace.

"Who dares burst into my place unannounced?" The Emperor yelled rushing into the courtyard with his own set of guards.

"Forgive me, your majesty. But this is a matter of my kingdom's security. I demand you hand over the queen immediately. If you fail to do so I need not remind you that our kingdom's main power doesn't rest in trade," Lia spoke strongly and unyielding not even blinking at the threat the other soldiers presented.

"Proposturas, You believe I would kidnap her!" the emperor was enraged.

"Perhaps not you father," A man who looked similar to Himmat stepped into the room. The first prince of the empire.

"But perhaps my brothers' words are not completely true," he suggested hesitantly.

"What? Why would he kidnap her? They are to be married," the emperor was now the one confused.

"Married?" Lia asked in shock.

"She's already married," Jacob stepped forward.

"What?" the emperor asked.

"I assure you, your highness. My queen had no will to marry your son," Lia said. The emperor pondered.

"So she did not go with him willingly?" the emperor asked.

"His palace has heightened their security. No one has come in and out since she had got there," the prince said.

"You know where she is?" Lia asked.

"When the attack happened my son told me they were after your queen. He said they were trying to stop the wedding. He said she went with him willingly to his palace for safety and to be married," the emperor explained.

"Then what are you waiting for your majesty? As ruler I trust you will correct this mistake," Lia spoke diplomatically knowing exactly which buttons to press.

"That fortress is impenetrable. Once a very powerful army tried to take it. They fought for many months but they could not take it," The emperor's words were trouble as he grasped the full situation.

"I will do what I can, but if he does not come out on his own will I very much doubt we would be able to force him," The emperor said. Lia nodded with a respectable bow.

That evening an army marched upon the prince's palace. When they came to the large walls Jacob understood why the king had doubts.

"SON!" The emperor yelled. The second prince leisurely strolled to the side of the wall looking down at his father.

"Father! You're just in time. I wed in the morning!" he declared.

"You lying snake. Return the queen to us or face the wrath of this army," The emperor demanded gesturing to the many soldiers.

"Come, father. You and I both know you will not be able to take this fort. And when I marry the queen the prophecy will be fulfilled. The lords have already sworn fealty to me. As soon as we marry I will take your throne. Now begone father. While my mercy lasts," The emperor's jaw slacked as his son's words.

"How dare you!" the emperor yelled.

"Oh, I dare father. You are old and lazy. Everyone agrees it is time for a new emperor, a better emperor. And by the gods will that emperor will be me!" the prince explained opening his arms wide.

"Your mother would be ashamed of you!" The emperor declared before leaving. The army set up camp not too far away and by night time Jacob had had enough of waiting. He walked into the main tent where plans were being set.

"Jacob?" Lia questioned surprised at his entry.

"ah the hunter I believe," the emperor mused.

"What taking so long?" he didn't even acknowledge the emperor his question being directed towards Lia.

"The emperor was right. Any attempt is nothing short of suicide," Lia admitted solemnly.

"So what does that mean?" Jacob asked.

"It means we wait him out. Cut off his supply routes," The emperor said.

"Wait him out? You expect me to leave my wife in there with that man?" Jacob asked in disbelief.

"I will not send my men to throw away their lives trying to accomplish something I know is not achievable. I am sorry general. This is my final decision," the emperor said before leaving the tent. Jacob was about to go after him when Lia grabbed his arm shaking her head slightly.
